Rj, hugs to you and the others for putting up with..well, whatever the h e double hockey sticks THAT was. :)
I'll be honest, I didn't read all of F's posts, but really... who did?! Lol

Daddy and I had to postpone the trip set for today, for a wonderful reason. New plans are in the works!

Much love to all (ok, most) of you!

A Cookie sighting! Woot!!

I'm sorry your trip was postponed but am happy that something seems to be in the works for another time.

Hugs and kisses!

Indeed it has!

Hey Stone.

I hope your day has been a good one.

It certainly has, Princess. Thanks for the thought!

Most days are dedicated to the bread-and-butter work that keeps the lights on and such, but today I was able to put my love into my 'niche of a niche' and it felt great!

Saw your post earlier and I wanted to respond but the damn POS Android phone wouldn't stop logging me out and I got aggravated.

It will just be that more special when I finally hold you in my arms buttercup!
"Have I told you lately that I love you"
"fill my heart with gladness, take away my sadness, ease my troubles that's what you do"

No worries. :)

I have been busy gearing up for homeschooling with my little girl.

We are starting back on August 12th, this summer has flown by!

You're a far better person than I. I had trouble teaching my son and his classmates a few hours a year, in both grade school and at the day prep school. If it weren't for the $20 and the caffeine, I'd have never made it

Thanks Rj. :)

I think I am going a wee bit overboard but I am doing both Teaching Textbook and Saxon for Math. We will be doing physical science and astronomy for Science but I am hoping to finish early and start into Chemistry and finish that during the summer. We are starting a writing course that is pretty intensive also. Not to mention-grammar, history, geography, reading and handwriting.

I forgot Art and Music...have not figured out what I want to do with that yet.

I was up half the night trying to figure out her extra-curricular activities!

BTDT... :D

My boys both have special needs, and the oldest also has some behavioral problems, so I homeschooled him from the get-go. They will both be entering into public school this year due to the hooplah that has become my life.

But, you know? I'm not worried as much as I was before. Between the all the resources at our disposal, I have seen a marked improvement in him over the last little while. It's going to be a challenge, but all children are in their own ways..

And, of course, they are both brilliant like their mother... :D:rolleyes:

Good Luck, Serene! It's a labor of love, most definitely..

Home Ec is always a great extra-curricular :) You teach a skill that will be helpful later in life...and have an excuse to make goodies

My daughter is special needs also. She has VACTERLS Association. :rose:

Health problems and bullying made it hard for her to attend regular school.

I did home school one of my older sons in middle school. He is adhd and a hands on learner.

Homeschooling has come such a long way. There are so many great resources out there nowadays. We are in a co-op which includes tutoring, field trips, etc.

Yes, I learned that when the Progeny would come home and have snacks ready, helped him with his studying.

My little girl and I LOVE to read, I mean LOVE:heart::heart:

I bought her a book last night and she read it in two and a half hours.

We do a book club and base the snack we make on the book we are reading.

I love being a mom...I wished I could have more. :(

"Just as an aside - while reading back over the past few pages to see what I missed today (nothing worthwhile from SOME un-named 'contributor' I saw).....it occurred to me how very much a phrase once used to describe my ex also describes that one as 'someone who considers themself as terminally unique'. Those who cannot create always seem to feel best qualified to critique....."

You are one smart peach, sweetheart.

Those terminally unique are chronically whining...Is that okay to say?
