SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — An Asiana Airlines flight from Seoul, South Korea, crashed while landing at San Francisco International Airport on Saturday, forcing passengers to jump down the emergency inflatable slides to safety. It was not immediately known whether there were any injuries.

The Boeing 777 was supposed to land on runway 28 left at the airport, said Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Laura Brown. She said the sequence of events was still unclear, but it appeared the plane landed and then crashed.

The Asiania Airlines Boeing 777 came in in a nose high attitude, and clipped off its tail on the seawall at the end of the runway. This caused it to slam down on the runway, shearing the landing gear. It then belly slid and came to a halt.

So far 2 dead, and ~60 injured, of ~ 200 on the plane.

In 18 months we will hear from the NTSB that it crashed through pilot error, although the glide slope system didn't seem to be operating at the time?

You can take the auto pilot off and land that plane manually.

I come onto lit sometimes, like this morning, and there's news on here I haven't seen.
But just to make sure it's 'real', I always go to the major news sites and check.
Coz sometimes, it's not entirely accurate.
