Governor Bobby Jindal wrote an op-ed recently in the Wall Street Journal proposing that birth control pills be taken out of the political arena by making them non-prescription.

The American association of gynocologists agree with him.

Anyone could then buy them.

Would you support the FDA making birth control pills non-prescription?

I think you answered your own question earlier. It's a control issue.

The fringe right knows they can't legislate their brand of morality, they simply don't have the votes, no matter how often they threaten to hold their breath until they pass out.

So they do the next best thing, make sure that people...women in particular, should be made to suffer the consequences of their behavior. This is why we get not one but two vaginal wand probings for abortions nowadays.

Birth control equalizes the playing field, and a certain demographic of men (white, lower class, over 50) seem to have huge problems with women "not knowing their place".

I DON'T have sex. I'm good. I'm as chaste as one can be. But I do care about other people. I think committed couples should be able to enjoy a healthy sex life, and a happy relationship, without worrying about bringing even more unwanted people into this world.

Do you buy your own contraception? Or do you just keep popping out kids who will eventually be a drain on the government you despise? Or do you abstain?

it really depends on the degree to which the person actively practices the teachings of his/her religion. It's certainly not just catholics. orthodox jewish and muslims... for starters.. also have religious laws regarding birth control.
