The context is irrelevant. You said marriage is ONE man and ONE woman. Defend your claim or shut the fuck up.

I hear you although I have to say many times sources and facts don't mean more than a hill of beans on the gb.Many people just want to argue for the sake of arguing.
Would you attend the wedding of your gay family member you love greatly?
What if your gay son was getting married - would you be there for him?

I would imagine (my own opinion here), that how one handles themselves would be important. Also, Jesus spent most of His time with those who perhaps needed to know about Him.
(not preaching here.....just saying that there is never a wrong place to share God).
Good questions....with no answer. Being there means supporting the union...which I could not do. I have not had to do that...and maybe I won't have to decide.
Actually, there is an answer - either you stand by the statements you have made here, or you don't.
If you trully believed what you say, your immediate response should have been 'Under no circumstances would I take part in a ceremony I believe to be sinful and wrong.'
You haven't done that.

But in being here on a daily basis, you actively enable that which runs anathema to your personal convictions (due to your religion as you personally see it), not to mention those of being a conservative.
Case in point, both homosexuality and literary incest as fantasy for sexual stimulation. You don't have to believe in either, but they are major facets of this site and you are sideways supporting both by your traffic here even if you don't indulge in accessing those areas...well, as far as we know.
See, that's the beauty of liberalism at work, making inclusive those prurient freedoms of human nature that conservatives and God-Folk wouldn't bleed or stand up for but sure do love enjoying and having access to them. Now, nobody's saying you can't be here...but don't fool yourself about the dichotomy going on when you do.
Because it's fucking retarded? If sex is an issue there are roughly 8,000-30,000 drunk sluts down town on any given night looking to get some cock.....convincing one of them my dick is the one they are looking for is not that huge of a deal. Unless she's a 500 pounder....then it would be a pretty big deal, how the fuck does that fit in a car???
I don't know of any religion that doesn't speak of marriage as one man and one woman.
Actually, some religions sanction polygamy.
Learn the meaning of argue, and learn the meaning of quarrel.
My opinion comes from my faith.....my belief...my religion....whichever word you choose to use.
It is sin. It is no better or worse than any other sin which every single person commits....very much including myself.
My strong opposition comes from the fact that anything that has been held important in my faith is now under attack. It is seen as out-dated and not willing to change with the times. IN MY OPINION (that was for Rob..lol)....God does not create sin...so therefore He cannot create someone gay. In my opinion, it is a choice that someone makes...for whatever reason....and has become mainstream, even edgy.
People are people and everyone is created equal. God loves each of us the same..period. God hates sin....from murder to lying...it is all the same level of sin. I do not have any dislike for anyone (well, yes I do, but that is sin as well, and I am working on that myself....personal people in my life).
My opposition comes from trying to make everything "equal". If gay people want to commit to each other...just pick a different name. Leave marriage what it has always been....man and woman.
So you're on Lit to prosaletize, not for for anything relating to sex? I hear what you're saying although it's a very strange way of looking at it to me. It sounds more like rationalization to me and I'm not trying to be critical.

I have serious problems with someone like julybaby, who is happy to preach her version of what is sinful and wrong, but then cannot back it up.
Her idea of social justice only covers those who agree with her.

LMAO, This thread just keeps getting better.![]()
I haven't done that as one never truly knows what they will do until faced with it. I don't know what I would do. Just being very honest.
