And who would have thought the day that the AFL trophy would be in Sydney and the NRL trophy would be in Melbourne.
Both great games to watch this weekend.

Well, both codes wanted a national comp. :) This weekend is proof that they've both succeeded, I suppose.

The best games in any code are the close ones! :D Used to go to every Swans game once upon a time... The games with Hawthorne were looked forward to. Some teams fans were painful but the Hawks supporters were good for a bit o fun no matter who won. :)

As a Queensland girl, League was the staple diet. There was a local Aussie Rules comp I followed but it wasn't anywhere near the AFL calibre, at that time. King Wally was a demi-God and Lang Park was Brisso's Mount Olympus. The only thing to beat it was the Hill at the Gabba during cricket season.
I know what you mean about some of the other teams fans Trisk! I grew up an Adelaide lad, so AFL was the winter code of choice - I'd never heard of this rugby stuff until I moved to Sydney and found I couldn't get 'real football' (settle down all you soccer mavens) on the TV for many many years.
Now we've got around 4 families all sitting together on Swans season tickets, and expanding every year - pretty soon we'll need our own group grandstand section! Only downside, I'm predicting the season membership fees will be quite bit higher again next year....

I can't believe how quiet it is in here these days!

Looks like there are a few of us who are trying to make a new start. I've binned a few people who were dragging me down and I feel much better for it.

Are there any Perth ladies lurking around the place who are interested in an RL friendship? I'm after a new partner-in-crime. Must have brains and class. ;)

You mean there is a people bin...damn! Can you get one at Bunnings?? Say yes...I've got a cloth sack full of people I'd like to bin...needs to be a fucking big bin....may be a skip...*note to self...look in yellow pages for people bins/skips*

I'm not a woman in Perth...but I do like female nipples does that count :rose:

Hello! A quick updater from me - my little boy arrived 6 weeks ago - 4 weeks early (I had only finisded up at work 4 days prior!) by unplanned c-section. ///he was still breech and my waters broke with nothing else happening...no contractions started etc. :( I now have a nice infection to go with it.
Fortunately, my son is just blooming now - he was 2.715kg at birth and is now 4.2kg! I am just loving being a mum, too.

I hope everyone is well
PP
:rose:

Hey Pert, congratulations on becoming a mum :rose:

Haven't been around for a few weeks so obviously old news but good news all the same.

Well, if you haven't got a big enough bin you can just kick 'em to the curb and leave them for the bulk rubbish collection!

Sorry, liking female nipples doesn't really count. That just makes you the same as the majority of the Australian population. However, making me laugh will get you a long way with me. :rose:

OMG! He bought me a car so I can drive around in Darwin :D

A Jag!

Wow...I didn't know they sold Jag's in Darwin...Next you'll be telling me they have Ferrari's in Alice Springs....like who the hell is there to see it.

A Jag in the heat of Darwin...must have a good cooling system or a big fire extinguisher :D

Sorry I missed your lovely tush coming through Melbourne. Wasn't aware you needed to get a Brazilian to get on a plane...must be a long flight, then again the heat does make bushes grow faster

Unfortunately I looked at the pamphlet for rubbish collection and people weren't on it. I'll have to write to council.

Since when does liking women's nipples not count....kinda like boobs...they're always acceptable, perferably uncovered....

Well good to know I tickle your fancy...also make you laugh...so about getting me a long way...is that from the bottom up or the top down :D

Lol! Well, you clearly like boobs, so I guess it better be from the top down. :D

Yes and yes, however I am a firm believer in exploration....it broaden's ones horizens... I do enjoy exploring hills and valleys and especially curves

Got my internet back!!

Got flattened by the end of winter lurgy, went to the coast to get some salt air and warmth. Went to Eden. What a pretty spot.

Daughter turned 18. Where did those years go?

WQ, I hope you're havin a ball in your Jag. Or on board ship, whichever your in. I hope your daughter and granddaughter are continuing to thrive and no1 son is recovering nicely.

Gil and Bandit, has the bloody lurgy finally nicked off? Gil seemed to have it for a very long time. The weather has turned for the better, at least.

Mr Elf, has worked settled down? Or are the hatchet man and women still lurking the corridors?

You're right about the Chrissy stuff in shops already! Holy Cow! Got a Chrissy catalogue last week. It's mulch!!!! Maybe those curbside collections are a jump on the Chrissy shop displays. You know.. ' for the man who has everything, a spare chair leg'. My first room in my first share flat was entirely furnished from the curbside. Some of it was pretty good. I got the bed from one bloke who came out while we were going through his collection. When he spoke to us he went inside and brought this entire bed out. Thought it was too good to sit on the curb.

Was looking at past posts and see you were offering me a reward.... :D.... Couldn't decide between one or the other, soo, decided Gil was right ..... both please kind sir..... ;)

AFL Grand Final Saturday!!!!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Swannies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know Hawkes are faves but the Swannies have a knack of finding some extra. Hope they can on Sat. Best game I've ever been to was Hawkes/Swans as SCG in around 88. Sooo close. You could tell who was ahead by who was standin on their seats. Mixed seating with fans mixed together. No malice at all, just appreciation of a fantastic game. Even afterward there was banter no fighting. Love the game and the fans.

NRL Grand final Sunday. Think I'll back the Storm. Everyone here is wearing Blue and White.

Now aren't you a greedy girl wanting both a  and a nipple lick...well ok, I guess I could provde both, although I should ask where did you want that kiss? While you're deciding I'll be licking one nipple very slowly and just so we have balance let me just gently tug on the other one....

I guess we really don't need to guess whether you're on Santa's naughty or nice list

I never put it in flight mode. I just turned it off.
Now when I turn it on, I can't connect to my network. I should be able to - my phone is on the same and works fine.

Hopefully the pilot put the plane in flight mode....

It will be interesting when more airports go with GPS locators rather than radio navigation. They are ripping them out as we speak. Not sure passengers will see the funny side of John Cleese landing the plane.....who knows where the plane will end up.

co-pilot: "Yes I punched in Melbourne, Australia...how the fuck do I know how we ended up in Melbourne, Florida...."

Like a mist rolling over the sea, i thought i'd make a reappearance and see how Aall are going. Still have much to read back up on to catch the lastest for Eeveryone.

Life this way has been a challenge the last almost 9 months, healthwise, then four weeks ago i received a diagnosis of Uterine Cancer. So now learning that the real challenge is upon me as it has been for many of Uus here, as well as friends, family and those we know.

Cheerier news, my girl turned 17 four weeks ago...(i was diagnosed on the day before so not good timing..but then when is it ever? *wry smile* So WQ...i know how you feel almost exactly. sighs....guess same for my Mum when she rang for my b'thday and said to me, I can't believe I have a *insert mumble here* year old daughter. Guess it never leaves us. laughs.

Well just a quick drop by, will come back soon and read all the lastest. Be well Aall, stay safe and ohh...always be wicked....not that Elfy ever needs that direction.....grinss...ohh which 'direction' is your favourite, Elfy lad? *smiles cheekily and waits with held breath*

To Triskie, Mr Gill and Bandit, ICR, WQ...oh course the Elfy lad...and Aall the good peoples ..sending huggs and warmest thoughts. :rose:

Hey Ms Moon ,

Nice to see you back if only briefly. I was away for several months myself, however that was work related and family stuff keeping me busy and rather tired most of the time. Have some breathing room now that the year is nearing its end.

So sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Had my little scare the other year...I know what oncology means now for real...my dad had cancer so I know how a family is impacted by that...I was in my early 20's.

You're a positive person so that's half the fight...don't give up fighting:rose:

Happy birthday and two :kiss:'s for where ever you want to put them...although may be can guess :D

Which direction you ask? Well that is not an easy question. I do like to explore, so some times I follow the curves, sometimes I follow the compass, sometimes I wait to be guided :rose:

why is the sydney swans logo a white swan when aussie swans a black

Well a little history.....before they were the Sydney Swans there were South Melbourne a club here in Melbourne for over 100 years. The logo of the team is a white swan with the motto " to conquer or die". So when they moved to Sydney to gain more supporters they took the colours and the logo with them hence the white swan and not the black one. There are still die hard South Melbourne AFL football supporters here in Melbourne.

Evening all,

And welcum to October...only a couple of months to go now and then holidays...oh yes..can't wait.

Welcome to all the new people, despite the fact some may think this is a clicky thread...that's not my style so be prepared to have your mind messed with if I hear a click....

Melbourne is a rather safe town and like all cities there are places you go if you want to find trouble, but what happened in Brunswick is one out of the box. I'm naturally protective of women so when I see things like that it really pisses me off. No issue dealing with the arseholes who think they can do that. I hear they are going to put him in protective custody for his own safety...that's a shame.

On a lighter note...nice to see Ms Moon back after a long absence.

WQ - your time in Darwin has made me laugh...you're such a little girl at times, but in a lovely way.

Trisk - now don't forget to use your reward wisely

Arianthe - Now that know I tickle your fancy...be very afraid :D

Gil - good to see you back keeping things going, say hi to Bandit

The weekend has seen balance restored in the football codes. One trophy going north the other one going south........ying and yang..

....they run the local chinese take away and made a killing on the weekend

This car was quite a saviour... meant I was mobile without having to hire a shitbox i30 or similar.
I will end up going back. Looks like the man is up there till after xmas.

I've come home to a reasonably clean house, despite the boys being there alone!
They even sorted dinner for me :)
I was totally stuffed by the time I got up here last night.... didn't bother unpacking or anything, just had a shower, food and then crashed.
I'll potter a bit today, unpack and do laundry, and then most likely crash again early tonight.
(This is what I get for spending 7 nights staying up till 4am!)

Someone needs a spank

YEAH! And I think it's YOU!!!!

How are you, Sunshine???? :kiss::rose:

I hope everything is going ok for you. How's the gardening going? You exercising your green thumb?

What's happnin with that trike???

Great to see you back here. :rose:

No. No. No. Not greedy at all, Mr Elf. A chance of optimal pleasure shouldn't be passed by though, should it??? ;) A greedy girl would not ensure that the pleasure is mutual, no?

Mmmmm. And I just don't belong on either of Santas lists. What shall I do now?

Meanwhile, you just continue what you're doin while we consider a new strategy.....

You'll be noticing the temperature difference, WQ!

Great that you got home safely, to no stress. :)

If your man is up there until Chrissy, then you may get up there again. It keeps getting hotter from now, tho. Not pretty.

Have fun with the domestics, soothing your OCD!!! :D:D:D

I'll go back - neither of us can do without the other for that long! ;)

I know it'll be hotter, but the plus is during the wet the hotels offer great deals, and the hotel I found is literally only 20 steps from my fave pub! :D

I've unpacked my suitcase.... I brought a case of vodka back with me, as I got it free.
Also, some blowthetopoffyourhead chilli sauce I found. Yum!
And my man is putting together a carton of frozen fish fillets to airfreight down... he catches them, and the little chinaman down the road from the marina freezes and packs it to send.
Even with the freight cost, it works out around $8/kg for red emperor and goldband snapper fillets - less than 1/4 the price.

I got up at 5 this morning to do my injection, had a couple of cups of coffee, and then crashed for another hour.
I think that might be the day for me - little bursts of activity, followed by naps
