Perth even managed to snaffle one of our regular Brissie based people and convince him to go play on the other side of the continent...

Yes, and I take full responsibility for that!
Chunu has blossomed, incidentally, now that he is out from behind the keyboard. He is the life of the party and has a date with a different female friend just about every night of the week. :D

Fetlife is great! I had a lot of fun there. Just.... sometimes you have to look at something and ask yourself what you're actually getting out of it. And I decided I was no longer getting what I wanted out of it. So it was time for it to go.

MMMmmm blossomed is the right word...

Its been some number of years since he and I have seen each other and its been a pleasure to be able to watch from the sidelines as he has found his new 'place' in life. :)

Fetlife has its place....;) After all, it is meant to cater for the more extreme taste in human relationships!:D

I guess what we all need to bear in mind that any form of online community gives people the chance to hide behind a nic, invent a persona and have fun playing with people who think this is for real.

I have made some friends here, I've seen real time relationships come and go, I've seen people get hurt both here and when they have moved the connection to real life, I've seen people get a great deal of support and much needed distraction when faced with the challenge of just trying to stay alive. I've seen people get really screwed when they were caught out "playing" behind the backs of their SO.

As an online community, the "Aussies" has had its ups and downs and has been accused of being clicky - and it was a deserved criticism. This is just another theatre of the absurd (just as Fetlife is) and should be treated with the same amount of caution.

I might sound as if I'm being a bit of a killjoy, but I've been around long enough to realise that it ain't all butterflies and cupcakes! I've seen people grow and heal, live and die, celebrate and mourn, love and be hurt; its a strange place but I count a few people found here as friends with whom the connection surmounts anything that could ever happen in a place like this.

I hope you find someone in Perth... I know over time there have been a number of Perth players here but they have all moved on. Perth even managed to snaffle one of our regular Brissie based people and convince him to go play on the other side of the continent...

I think I need more coffee.... and watch out for GA's dad....if the father is anything like the son, he's wicked!

Fet seems to have a lot of people who would find the GBs a fine home posting about "the right way to do things" or "how you should" yet they never seem to have a SO, sub, slave or even a playmate.

I'm still on Fet although it's only a drop in now & don't spend the time on there I used to but have always felt a part of Lit & the Aussie thread.

With this thread Aussies many of us have met & people are more genuine (the fakes seem to be fakes in R/L as well as posters) as well as the most important thing about Lit being this is where BANDIT:heart: & I met on linewith our R/L life meeting in 2003 & we are still together.:heart::heart:

I'm serious about flying south, Chick...:D

How long are you away for?

That would be so great! No matter where you end up going, I cam come see you as nothing is more than a couple of hoirs drive away! :)
I will be gone for a week and a half to 2 weeks.
I am going to pm you my ph no - use it when you know if/when you're coming!

So, here's the deal folks....

I fly upon Sat, stopping in Sydney and Brisbane on the way.
I'm staying at the Y when I'm up there.
And I fly back on Mon 01 Oct, with a stopover in Melbourne from noon to 4pm.

I've done the Brazillion.
Spray tan is tomorrow.
First injection 8am tomorrow morning (stupid blood disorder means I have to give myself needles for 4 days each time I fly so I don't die horribly from a blood clot. Gil and Bandit - remember that time I came to Sydney and stayed, and I had awful pains in my right chest the entire time? That was a blood clot.... I could have died! )

My suitcase is packed with awesomely sexy warm-climate clothes - but knowing me and my OCD, I will repack it at least twice between now and Sat morning

Now.... and pay attention peoples..... the only thing that will make my trip better is if I get to see a few Aussies on my fly throughs.....
Just sayin'

Hello! A quick updater from me - my little boy arrived 6 weeks ago - 4 weeks early (I had only finisded up at work 4 days prior!) by unplanned c-section. ///he was still breech and my waters broke with nothing else happening...no contractions started etc. :( I now have a nice infection to go with it.
Fortunately, my son is just blooming now - he was 2.715kg at birth and is now 4.2kg! I am just loving being a mum, too.

I hope everyone is well

Hi and welcome, knot :)

You're knot interupting (heh - see what I did there?) as we're always happy to have new folks in this thread :)
Sometimes it can be a little slow in here - real life and other such distractions - but keep checking in and you're sure to meet most sooner or later!
As for reading back.. the most should be a few pages.... more than that and you'll get confused! Lots of members have moved on.
Anyway, welcome again!

Well a real suprise with your baby boy arriving so early & glad he is doing well.

Hope your infection clears up OK & very soon too. :rose:

I have no idea yet.
I do know it is black, with a red leather interior. And is mid-60's :)

:nana: **DROOL** They have a style about them that is lost in later years with all cars.

It's a great place for vehicles to last up there as many speedway cars ended up there & when found have been an easier restorations to those found in other parts of the country.

I'm in Brisbane, sitting at the airport bar having a bourbon.
Got in late to Sydney and had only a very short stop as a result.
I have the day to myself tomorrow as my man is out at sea, so I have to find something to amuse myself for the day. Pretty sure I can figure something out ;)
Well, back to the bar for me!

I forgot how fucking HOT this place is!
I have had a major heat headache all day - but I figured out how to rig the aircon in my room so that it goes all the time and not just when my keytag is in the slot ;) so now I can come back to a cool room.
I'm loving staying here at the YWCA backpackers lodge (I have a private room) as the people are cool and the parties are non-stop. Definitely my kinda place :D
Tomorrow I will hunt down an Optus place and get my tablet working. I turned it off for the flights and now can't get on the network.

Turn airplane mode off

If anything, today was even hotter than yesterday! I honestly thought I was going to melt away to nothing this afternoon :-\
Here is a pic of the jag he bought. 1976, with a 357 Chev and a Hurst shifter. Goes like a bullet!

WQ, That is the best shape Jag style of the lot & nice to know it's got a small motor in it too. LOL
