Holy shit! The crab put up a hell of a fight.... it took two of us to get him into the pot!
For a minute there, I was afraid for my fingers

Hello strangers and strange ones....grinss.

Like a mist rolling over the sea, i thought i'd make a reappearance and see how Aall are going. Still have much to read back up on to catch the lastest for Eeveryone.

Life this way has been a challenge the last almost 9 months, healthwise, then four weeks ago i received a diagnosis of Uterine Cancer. So now learning that the real challenge is upon me as it has been for many of Uus here, as well as friends, family and those we know.

Cheerier news, my girl turned 17 four weeks ago...(i was diagnosed on the day before so not good timing..but then when is it ever? *wry smile* So WQ...i know how you feel almost exactly. sighs....guess same for my Mum when she rang for my b'thday and said to me, I can't believe I have a *insert mumble here* year old daughter. Guess it never leaves us. laughs.

Well just a quick drop by, will come back soon and read all the lastest. Be well Aall, stay safe and ohh...always be wicked....not that Elfy ever needs that direction.....grinss...ohh which 'direction' is your favourite, Elfy lad? *smiles cheekily and waits with held breath*

To Triskie, Mr Gill and Bandit, ICR, WQ...oh course the Elfy lad...and Aall the good peoples ..sending huggs and warmest thoughts. :rose:

Yum!!! Haven't had one of those since I lived in Port Hedland a gazillion years ago.

I grew up in South Hedland. My family built the yacht in Lawson St.
Went to St Cecilia's in Port Hedland.
When we launched the boat in 1979, it was front page news!

Were you there then?

(((((((Ms Moon!!!!!!!!!!!))))))) :rose:

Have been thinking about you. Don't think I've seen you here since the meet.

Sorry to see that diagnosis. It's a battle royal, alright. I hope you're getting the very best of attention. I have you in my prayers and in my heart. Please keep in touch. :rose:

My daughter's 18th was sobering..... for all of a day. And then I realised she's clever and kind, sensible, loving, funny and evrything else I would want her to be. She'll do fine and time won't wait while I sulk. ;) She's traipsing around Melbourne atm with a whole gaggle of teenagers. Poooooooooor Melbourne.

Not much chance to be too wicked lately. Will need to work on that! :D Although Mr Elf did offer a reward earlier..........

Be strong. Be positive. Don't be a stranger.

The waste water system on the boat has stopped working. Not good.
The guys are trying to fix it now... hopefully they can get it working, as this will make life on board very difficult!

I woke up today decidedly seedy.... a little too much vodka last night! It's all my boat-neighbour's fault! He twisted my rubber arm sideways and forced me to go to the pub with him!

Going back into a hotel tonight for the rest of my stay. There is no wastewater system on board and it will be too difficult - can't shower or anything.
Amd in this heat, I need to shower!

:rose: Mz Moon after meeting you earlier this year I'm sure you will fight this cancer like a demon & please keep intouch & know BANDIT:heart: & I will be thinking of you.

My cousin has just been told she has cancer but it spread through her body & she is stage 5, chemo has been ruled out so radiation treatment starts tuesday.

The Big C is striking many others I know & one of them was buried today & 3 others in the last few weeks but on the up side I also know several survivers of this horrid disease.

PLEASE don't be a stranger.:rose:

We hit 34C here today but a drop in temp for Saturday to 24C & yes a shower is a must with the high temps.

Thunder storm hitting here now!

Darwin can be a lot of fun - another Aussie reporting in, normally based in Canberra, just back from Tokyo, now heading down to Melbourne for some fun and debauchery.

G'day all. Aussie ex-pat here. Grew up in Perth, moved to the US 20+ years ago, married a Yank. My life in a nutshell.

Cheers!

J

OMG!
I got so horribly drunk last night... how I found my way back to the hotel is beyond me!
I think I stumbled in somewhere around 4am.
I need food!

Hi Gil. Hi Bandit. :rose::rose:

Have had the most glorious weather last week. THEN.... clouds rolled in Friday on this god awful wind. Rain stopped last night but the flipping wind has stayed and it's COLD!!!! Bugga, bugga, bugga!!!!!

Rainshine - my Swans spread red sauce all over your Pies, and ate them all up ;)

Love your butt, but....

Y'gotta love the Swannies! Always love their games with Hawthorne. I do harbour a tragic but soft spot for St Kilda. One day, just maybe.........

Now for the Storm to rise up and trounce the Bulldogs! Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing better than beating Hawthorn would be trouncing Collingwood!!
Still, this match was a close heart-stopper, and reminded me of the series of grudge-matches with West Coast where the final score was always within about 3 points.

Somehow, I've never become interested in Thugby. Happy to read about this one in the paper later.

The best games in any code are the close ones! :D Used to go to every Swans game once upon a time... The games with Hawthorne were looked forward to. Some teams fans were painful but the Hawks supporters were good for a bit o fun no matter who won. :)

As a Queensland girl, League was the staple diet. There was a local Aussie Rules comp I followed but it wasn't anywhere near the AFL calibre, at that time. King Wally was a demi-God and Lang Park was Brisso's Mount Olympus. The only thing to beat it was the Hill at the Gabba during cricket season.

Good to see Newtown Jets on the paddock, even if in the NSW Cup. Was a sad day when they disappeared from the A grade comp.

The Storm won with beef. ;) I have to say it, though...

BITING, Girls??????? How preschool!

Well said :kiss:and you need to be cuddled for that

And who would have thought the day that the AFL trophy would be in Sydney and the NRL trophy would be in Melbourne.
Both great games to watch this weekend.
