People keep talking about the gloom and rain of the Northwest. I've been in Seattle four times, in all seasons of the year and never gotten rained on. I guess I must carry drought with me like a wallet.

No, that's our special trick for visitors. We give them a beautiful clear day where you can see both the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges to the east and west. You'll look south and the locals will point and say "Oh boy, the mountain is out". You'll have a wonderful time sitting by the lake. You'll enjoy the quirkiness of the waterfront, chow down on some fish and chips from Ivar's. You'll get sucked in by all of its splendor. Then that little voice inside you says "You should live here." Then when you finally do settle down, BAM, nine months of grey skies and rain. But hey, at least you can take your goldfish for a walk.

Dropping long enough to say hi before I take off... don't want anyone here to catch this darned flu of mine! ;)

On page two again. I send my computer off to be repaired for a few days and the whole forum goes to hell. Tsk.

Sorry, Molly. :rose:

Other than computer repairs, how've you been?

I've been very well, thanks. Just had a spa day with my kid and my hairdresser. After Princess and I did some shopping, got our hair done and some other errands, we invited our hairdresser to lunch and then all went out for relaxing mani/pedis. Of course we had to go shopping afterwards (again). We brought home two new pairs of boots each. :D

Not for a lack of trying :(

Glad to see you back though, missed you. :rose:

Aw, thanks, doll. :rose:

Boots?! :cattail: Do tell.

Sounds like a good day. I had somewhat the same kind of day Wednesday. Wondered around a major mall with some other igents, drank our lunch and then I toodled across the street to my tailor's and orders another pair of dress shirts. Spent some time perusing sample books, too. I'm going to order a new suit come November.

And can I put in a pathetic plaint? My latest story, Midsummerfest, Chap 1 (which should be 2!) has good scores but only five people have voted. If the Party gang hasn't read it, would you please? And let me know what you think? I even think I've got another chapter bubbling in my brain.

A pair of cha-cha snow boots and little ankle boots.
