Is it that time again? Post seem to fly by when you are having fun.

Welcome to the one and only Official Author's Hangout Summer Lovin' Contest Support Thread.

Beware of fake contests

NEWBIE ALERT

For information on the real A.I.R. contest, please go here:

the Authors’ Hangout LITEROTICA/A.I.R. 2012-2015 Themed Contests Support Thread…

http://pic.yobt.com/blog/media/sexypics/02/1.jpg

or its predecessor:

Congrats to the ASSOCIATION of INDEPENDENT READERS “Special Contest” AWARD WINNERS

Thank you…and why not use the next couple of days thinking about ways LAUREL that could improve the Themed Contest system. I know no one wants a repeat of the "least read story winning" fiasco...

... and I wish you all a great (and fairly run) contest...

What are you doing ups so late scouries, is your mother out on the stroll again.

All the newbies already know your contest is a fake and you are a liar so why do you keep this charade up?

There is no such thing as air except in your head. You're the only one who gets to vote in your fake contests. There are no “Special Contest” award winners since there is nothing to win. It's all a lie.

Have a nice day.

Laurel's official announcement of the Summer Lovin' Contest is posted Here.

The starting gun has been fired.

Ogg beat me to it. :) Laurel has posted the official rules for the Summer Lovin' contest in a sticky at the top of the Author's Hangout.

Good luck everybody.

Here is my How-To to help you decide whether to enter a Literotica themed contest.

It costs you nothing in cash.

It might cost you in hard work, stress of watching your rating fluctuate wildly, injured pride from hurtful comments - but people will read your story.

There are few places on the Net that give your stories such exposure at no charge to you.

C'mon oggie!!!!

You've been replaced for crying out loud and now you're back trying to steal the tigerlady's thunder. Bad boy!

Poor scouries, he can't make up his mind if he loves Ogg or PennLady more.

I'm betting on Ogg but that's just the pervert in me. :D

Ogg's excellent essay was written five years ago, and it is just as true and just as well-written as the day it first posted.

OK, authors, time to get in those practice laps as the days pass by. Ilmonamour has a beauty, Saxon_Stonedyke has a hot tale (pun intended), and I'm anticipating some of our best authors to be weighing in for this one. As usual, I'm not entering. Not good enough.

While the kids are out of school my computer time is next to nil, but I'll still have something for the contest. (Come on Aug. 16th). - the day I don't have to share my computer during the daytime!

I remember when our two girls were teenagers. Yikes! Love-hate at its finest. Now they're great, all grown-up, working...but I wish they were little again.

The teenage years with the girls haven't been too bad really. My son is now 13 and he's becoming more rude, so I think it's time to sit him down and have a heart to heart talk with him. I know it's because he's playing video games all the time this summer and losing the lack to communicate with real live people instead of just folks via a mic and earphones.

I've never heard of two babies born to the same mother so close together. I am 11 months older than my brother, which is close, but not compared to your daughters.

I got pregnant with daughter number two about 3 weeks after giving birth to daughter number one. I also ended up with placenta previa and went into labor 3 mths early with number two.

First, let me say I'm glad everything has worked out normally for your premie.

I could have been in a similar situation because we operated under the assumption that while nursing, I wouldn't ovulate. I didn't restart my birth control pills for about 6 months with my first. Same with my second daughter four years later. But she was colicky and didn't nurse consistently. When I visited my Gyn for a Rx, she said I couldn't take the pill. She suspected and a test confirmed, I was pregnant. Our son was born just under 15 months after his sister. I never took another pill because Jack had the big snip a week after he (son) was born.

Thanks, everything did work out well with her. She was in the hospital for 5 weeks, and did have to have a red blood cell transfusion.

I started birth control immediately after having number two and then when I went off of it, it took a while for me to get pregnant with number three. I wanted to have more, but when he tried to be born 4 mths premature (we were able to keep him brewing until I was 8 mths along - via daily injections) we decided that he would be our last baby. Things were just too dangerous in regards to me trying to carry full term.

I thought my sister and I were close in age, 19 months, but that's nothin' around here. Good going, guys!

Meantime, I see Saxon_Stonedyke has an entry coming up for Summer Lovin'. Nothing like stopping for a cold drink on a hot summer day.

How's everybody else doing?

:D Thanks!

I'm doing well, just waiting for more than a blip of freetime on the computer, in the meantime though I've been finishing a lot of partially worked on cross-stitch projects.

Hope you and yours are doing well too.

I say this with all the caveats of "She's a world-famous published author of genre-defining stuff, and I'm just a dude mashing his fingers on a keyboard and putting it up on the internet," BUT...

...once upon a time, a girlfriend laid me out on her bed, put a copy of Anne Rice's "erotic" Sleeping Beauty story in my hands, and start going down on me. I mean, that's a guy's porn dream, right? Watch (or read, if you're into reading) porn while on the receiving end of a blowjob?

Yeah. Turns out, Anne Rice's writing is an amazingly effective way to ruin perfectly good oral sex. Awful, awful book. I felt terrible for the female protagonist, the guy made me feel terrible about being a male, and I had to make my then-girlfriend stop because I was very quickly feeling awful about sex in general.

The only thing I've ever read of Anne Rice's works is the Sleeping Beauty stories. I think I read through two of the books, but that was it. I was ignorant to what their content was when I purchased them - via a mail in book club. I was quite surprised when I started reading them, but turned off as the stories got more and more ugly. I gave them to my older sisters to read and then my mom read them, never saw them after that. I think she threw them away, because well, that's my mom. If she doesn't like something or think we girls should read things, wear things, buy things, she'll pitch it without telling us. I was even in my 20s when I purchased them, but she'd still do something like that if she felt justified.

Red, thanks, all well here generally, children doing well, granddaughter more beautiful every day, Herself recovering well from heavy-duty oral surgery.

Looking forward to a strong field of entrants for the Summer Lovin'. More and even better writing!

Yes Sir! When you write one that results in a change of Facebook relationship status Votes and Comments don't seem nearly as important in life. :)

I guess I must write better than I talk because this "hot tale" has been going on for several years and showed little chance of a happy ending until I did it.

I have to thank Estragon for his copy editing, I don't think he realized he was playing matchmaker as well.

First off, congratulations.

This is not the first match on or because of Lit and I sure hope it won't be the last. :D

I wonder whether my current draft, a third episode of the Tripletit saga, will work as a Summer Lovin' entry?

If not, perhaps jeanne_d_artois could write a summer-themed Laundry Tale?

Either one or both for that matter sound good.

I keep finishing old stories but none so far have fit the Summer Luvin' theme.

are you talking about a story or one of those desiccated husks you call lady friends? :D

Hey, Hey, Mind your manners. That is if ya had any. Ladies are always Ladies at any age. Well, until they prove otherwise, that is. ;)

Eat your heart out, at least i got lady friends. ;)

I have my Summer story almost done. My plot bunny died but then a coconut fell on my head three days ago and now I got more ideas than I can use.

How can I really piss off the scurvy one? Who can I enter as? I know! I'll follow all the rules! That'll tear him up! I'll submit as me. It's a brand new story I just made up. I'll submit it in the same middling category as before, not one he claims is guaranteed to win. I'll submit it on opening day, too.

I'll even have someone proofread my story this time. Let me see ... who can I get???

Make sure you have a character, preferably a drag queen named Pauletta. :D
