Under Rule 40, Section B in the Republican National Committee's rule book, a presidential candidate must demonstrate the support of a "plurality of the delegates from five or more states" to get his or her name entered for nomination at the convention.

Paul already has a plurality of delegates from Iowa, Maine, Minnesota and Louisiana. Nebraska is the last state that will hold its convention for delegates.

Nebraska's State Republican Party convention is this weekend...

"Last chance" at what? No matter what happens in Nebraska, Paul has no more chance at the presidential nomination than you do.

You provide the children with words...

...and they're still too lazy to actually read them.

So, let's say you're right.

Are more words the solution?

"right" about what?

That Nebraska is the last State holding its convention (ergo, Paul's Last Chance), and Paul needs to capture a plurality of its delegates to be legally listed as the only other possible presidential candidate besides Romney at the Republican National Convention next month?

That has nothing to do with me being "right" or not...

...that's simply what the piece I quoted asserts.

As far as "Are more words the solution?'...

...an admirer of Jefferson should be embarrassed to utter that query.

A vote for Paul is a vote for Obama. Remember Perot gave us Clinton. Course, I wish we had the corrupt fool now.:D

Not the same scenario at all: Paul isn't running 3rd party.

If Paul gets the majority of Nebraska delegates, and it came out the week of the Republican National convention that Romney has a crack-whore hooker and 3 kids on the side...

...would you then actually vote for Obama over Paul?

And a vote for Perot didn't give us Clinton...

...all the multi-millions of fools who voted for the statist Bush 41 did.

. . . Clinton won the election because millions voted for Bush? You really don't seem to grasp how this process works.

Enough would. Paul will be POTUS sometime after Ralph Nader's second term.

Doesn't matter....if you are a conservative you will vote for paul over Barrack Hussein Romney...I mean Mitt Obama...god damn I just can't tell the two apart sometimes wtf is that RINO fucks name again? Mitt Romney!! that's it...

According to TJ, "more words" (aka education) "is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power":

To William Charles Jarvis.
Monticello, September 28, 1820.

...I know no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves ; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power.

The preceding, fascinating bulk of the letter specifically contains his take on Judicial branch authority vs the other 2 branches...
