2024 Match-Up

Now let me see:
Inflation is a worldwide problem not just a US problem. So what are you saying? We can’t fix the inflation problem here until the rest of the world fixes the inflation problem first. Are there no solutions for the US? Just as an example: When Trump was President, I was paying less than $2 per gallon for gas, now the price is inching towards $4. One of the reasons the price was low was because the US was self sufficient in oil production but now no longer. To keep the price of gas reasonable the Biden administration has dipped into the oil reserves to the point that it is almost empty and to replenish the supply is unaffordable.

Open Borders:
You really believe we have a truly closed border mean to tell me we have no illegal entry...or wait a minute it's even bad to call them illegal… Pres Biden apologized that he used that term to describe the alleged murder of Laken Riley. Undocumented immigrant is the preferred term. They were even wanting to push for the term newcomers but I guess that is too outrageous even for libs to accept. If our southern border is secure and not open how to you account for Fermin Garcia-Gutierrez an undocumented immigrant, wait a minute he actually was documented in that he had been deported from the United States seven times. Anyway this miscreant has been accused of murder in Ohio within the past month. If our southern border was truly closed that creature could never have entered our country.

Rampant Crime.
If you sincerely believe what you assert would you really feel comfortable if you had to live in New York City and had to take the subway every day to go to work?

If one insists on voting for Biden over Trump because of one’s animus towards the former President, I submit it’s better for America to vote for a sinner than a saint. President Carter is a proof positive example. His personal character was certainly exemplary but he sure was a piss poor President.
Sometimes, it pays to fact-check before you fire off something you believe to be true. People here will make sure you are aware of the errors in data or, in your humble opinion, brags. You might start by not echoing Trump talking points without some study.

Just for grins, a short search shows that some of what you declared is incorrect. This data is from a recent Washington Post article:

Today, the average US gas price hovers at $3 per gallon. Given inflation, OPEC's current cutback, the Russian oil situation, and our now dominant oil production, you cannot justify claiming your price was better under Trump than Biden. It doesn't hold water.

The United States is producing about 13.2 million barrels of crude oil per day, which is millions of gallons more than is coming out of Saudi Arabia or Russia. This is more oil than was being produced even at its peak during the pro-fossil-fuels administration of former President Donald Trump, when production was 13 million barrels a day in November 2019. Biden isn't bragging about petro production but rather focusing on alternative energy solutions. Still, he is very much aware of the need for fossil fuel development even though Trump accuses him of killing the industry.

The United States is producing so much oil that it has undermined the influence of OPEC, which failed when it tried to make production cuts recently to drive prices up globally. The amount cut was quickly backfilled by the United States and other non-OPEC nations, which gladly grabbed the market share OPEC forfeited.

US oil reserves are up and not almost empty, and we are replenishing reserves with US-drilled oil, reducing the costs or the need to import the black gold product from OPEC.

As of 2022, New York City's murder rate was 6.3 per 100,000. This makes the Big Apple one of the safer large cities in the country. Overall, crime rates continue to go down in New York City. New data released in late 2023 shows an overall decrease in crime—a drop of 4.1% compared to the prior year. The 2024 number shows the murder rate even lower. Is it good to have crime? Obviously not, but crime stats are getting better. By the way, neither Biden nor Trump had any effect on crime in New York. Local police and prosecutors do.

Your smirky tone over the deaths of two US citizens at the hands of illegal criminals is one of Trump's favorite canards. Trump spues things that are not based on facts, like the two deaths you cited being directly linked to Biden's actions. Pure sensationalism, and you let it hook you. It is a fact of life that criminals commit crimes while in other countries. There are US citizens who do the same in other countries as visitors as well. Consider the fact that statistically, people flowing into the US have an overall crime rate lower than US citizens in our own country. That's not to condone what was done to those murdered in your citation. Trump shouts from the roof top that other countries are dumping their murderers, their rapists, the insane, and the mentally ill into the USA. No data to support that exists - it's all in his mind and he is messing with yours if you let him.

I don't believe in a Dictator for a Day mentality for a President, firing the DOJ staff, or seeking vengeance against Trump's political opponents. I prefer a Saint over a Thug.

The Saint knows he/she has competent help from others. The 'sinner', as you call him, shows no mercy and has already given you an example of what his leadership will be like through his actions on J6. Give that some thought when you think about him versus Jimmy Carter or Joe Biden.

would you really feel comfortable if you had to live in New York City and had to take the subway every day to go to work?
I live in New York City and have been doing exactly this for decades. 🤷‍♂️

If you're afraid of cities and don't have the sack weight to live in one, you can just say that, you know.
