Chili from a can is usually disgusting until I tried Campbell's

Most cans of chili, like Hormel, empty out in the bowl like a lump of dog food.

Campbell's chili is surprisingly liquid and eats like a soup.

It is what chili should be.

I recommend Campbell's chili.

Blasphemous. No human should be eating out of a can like a dog or cat. Hell, even my cats don't eat out of cans! They eat out of bags, like proper cats.

I just want to know where I can find coupons for this canned chili. It sounds yummy but I'm on a tight budget.

(O...and cats should be allowed hunt for their food....rats and such.)

Another dollar-store food tip from Bugaloo_Dookie / Memphis_Man / crackerville.

This guy must be fatter than a house and poorer than a church mouse.

Chili is not supposed to be soupy; you should be able to stand a fork up in it.
That said, its also not supposed to come in a can. It should be bought at the restaurant supply house in a two gallon bag, frozen.

Canned Chilli????

Fucking barbarians. Spend 10 minutes in the kitchen before work. Come home to decent Chilli.

This will make 10 servings for $20. Exact same price per serving as that fucking nasty shit in a can!

2 pounds ground beef
2 (16 ounce) cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
2 (14.5 ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 medium onions, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon Cayenne
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 coors/bud

Directions
1.In a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Transfer to a slow cooker. Add the next nine ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4 hours.

I like to substitute sausage for half of the burger.
And going with dried beans will make it even less expensive. (2/3 cup of dried beans for each 15oz can)
A little bit of cocoa powder adds nice dimension, too.

Also, I have to give a shout out to Reynolds brand crock pot liners; they make clean up soooooo very easy.

I only use this when I want Chili during the work week. When I want real real good chili, the prep time is so much longer because I use real chili. I also Like to use prime rip chunks as the meat.

But I do like your Sausage idea. Do they dry beans cook in eight hours?

When will it end ????

Anyway...I like my chili out of a can....hard and with a bright yellow film of fat on top

Since you can't cook, go microwave yourself.

Chili is not supposed to be soupy; you should be able to stand a fork up in it.

You should make that suggestion to the "Wendy's" restaurant company in the United States of America.

Their chili is exactly like Campbells and sell more of it that anybody on the planet.

Since you can't cook, go microwave yourself.

How will I hit the start button once I stuff myself in there ??? And who's in charge of carving ????

These things must all be considered BEFOREHAND...to ensure the best microwaved results.

I thought this thread was about chili. Sorry, I'll move along now.

I always soak mine overnight.
My sister throws them in dry and she says they cook in eight hours.

All this chili talk is making me hungry for some on this cool spring Tennessee day.
