Once a dachshund kills your chickens, will it always be a chicken killer?

Well, the dog does kill a lot of critters...

:( Usually that's a good thing.

The design flaw that allowed her to get in was my fault; I deferred to the wishes of the Queen in its design against all of my instincts.

Frank Lloyd Wright has moved on, you're on your own.

Why does this thread remind me of the Beverly Hillbillies?

Jethro and Ellie May, I can hear the bed squeaking and know what you are doing!

Get your asses down here and Granny is going to give you a good whipping!

We are rural folk.

You seem to be somewhat of a jackass, however, based upon your two posts.

You should have welded that mofo.

I should have put wire over the bottom, but I was over-ruled because the Queen likes to watch them scratch the dirt...

I wired the bottom of the rabbit hutch, and guess what, the rabbits are still alive three years later...

Plus she wanted it out of PCV so she could move it around the yard and fertilize it organically.

no, you can train the mutt not to.
there's either the time consuming, might not be 100%, humane method,
or there's the meanarse, traumatic, bound to work and work fast route.

this is one of those rare occasions where negative reenforcement is called for.

First, I will have to get more chicks.

Then I will over-ride the architect...

Princess cried all night; broke my heart. :(

Sorry, the mobility issue is an inflexible demand that I have money and sweat equity tied onto at this point.

:(

A fresh new coop might make the Princess feel a little better about the whole situation.
