Let this discussion be a rambling ring of thought about improving the experience at Lit. Personal attacks are sidebar; not of this topic. What technical inovation/evolution should be considered, is.

Hey. And whatever we come up with to 'save' the joint, I want a piece.

i need free weed for life. not a lot, mind you. a joint or two a week would be just fine. make it happen, people.

Who would purchase stock? Yeah its a novelty like owning stock in the GB football team but why would a person want to purchase stock in lit?

don't get me wrong, I love Lit

also, if you could ban morons for making infinity mirror threads that would be sweet.

Why is there no Total Ignore - so that we can choose to not even see the little box that says "xxx has posted"?

In a sense, you already purchase stock in Lit by contributing to the discourse. Your/our voices are the widgets of commodity here. The interface (which I'll suggest is - conservative) is just a way of delivering bandwidth. The product Literotica is organic and it produce$. Presumably, our recorded actions here produce eye$-time. The lights are still burning.

Stock. A piece. Hmmmm?

also, as to the total ignore, i used that firefox add on for a bit back in the day and i fucking hated it. it just made this place just that more confusing because you often didn't know who the fuck someone was talking to. i hated that shit.

I need an app for the Win7 phone please.

The app thing is apparent. Still, the forums may be "twitter" enough already without them. More often than not, what's best written here is more... considered? Would 'easier' access to the boards dilute the better stuff? Or, does the new language constitute the better stuff? Apps will necessarily change the dynamics of what's written here. Something to consider...

Since Manu and Laurel own this site, they can do anything they wish.

I hope they make everyone have to post a fluff post every other post one makes.

Just like you get the warning for posting a short post, you will get a message saying, you've posted a political post, you must post a meme or talk about sex if you want to post again.

No, our stories are the widgets. Our comments are the self important ramblings on the cover. Still I'd buy stock.

A total ignore would be awesome. That way I wouldn't even have to get curious about why there is a sudden flurry and maybe they got smarter.

I think a function where readers who have favorited an author get a notice when they post a story would be great. As it stands favoriting an author doesn't do a whole lot. It doesn't make the writer more relevant or help the readers know when they are active.

Eventually a paypal or similar device for readers to reward the writers they like should be put in place but I can see how that could be a long term issue to work on.

i love how everyone here thinks the boards are so totally obviously the single most important part of the site. that shit never gets old.

Eh, I dunno about changing it. It would diversify the place, and it may need that.

i'd rather they'd keep that meme shit to a minimum, thank you very much. this place is repetitive enough already.

No I didn't.

Though getting where we can post youtube videos direct to the board would be nice.

Adding a function for gifs to be usable in stories would be nice and wouldn't hurt to bring back the extreme section. Bush is out office, the danger has passed.

Good points. Yes. But to many of the performing monkeys here, though the stories may have lured them, the community on the boards bind them. Authors and writers converge here to make the whole. And, they continue to contribute both stories and words to the greater endevour. There are other porn story repositories that don't get the eye$-time. Stories alone do not run these boards.

So the "authors" should get paid, right?

Paying the authors should be an option and if you want to extend that to the posters I got no problem with that. I'm sure most of us are "authors" even if we don't have any stories on the site and honestly if I just had to make a few clicks I'd probably pay Colonel Hogan for some of the very enlightened posts he makes that clear out a lot of the BS that I don't quite understand.

A paypal donation ultimately just means you getting paid based on what they think your worth but a when you start looking at the number of reader you can rack up, one hundred thousand pennies add up.

The story flogging spammers would become legion in the forums, "home foreclosed, sick grandmother, pls paypal my ass-to-mouth fetish story...?"

The favourite author notification would be good.

Said the guy who never uses the quote feature.

But basically, you're asserting a claim to be compensated for your 'work' here? If such compensation were available, you would exercise that claim?
