In/Out Board

Og is away - again.

I'm going to London until Sunday evening, visiting the WhoDoYouThinkYouAreLive event at Olympia.

I know who I am. I know who my ancestors were.

But my wife doesn't - yet. She's stuck on her Irish and Polish/Prussian ancestors.

t'annam ag diol, Og; she seems to quite well know who they were!

You do know that the stereotypical "Joisy" accent is really from Brooklyn, right?

Think what you want, Thee. I think y'all talk funny down there, some funnier than others. This is coming from a person who was accused of having a Michigan accent.

I have been accused of having a Midwestern accent as well (twice actually), and yet I have lived here in the Garden State for my entire life

That's just a stereotype, Thee. And in Brooklyn, we put 'sprinkles' on our ice cream cones, not 'jimmies.'

"Jimmies" is a Delaware thing from what I have been hearing the last few years. We use "Sprinkles" here in Jersey too (though I personally don't care for them no matter what you call them).

Nobody wonders about my accent.

They are too busy wondering were the invisible voice does come from.

The entire new generation of mega-cruise ships gives me the cold robbies. If I'm going to do a cruise on the open sea this is what I want.

Thursday HM, MIL and I will be zipping off to the Netherlands and Belgium to view the tulips and the decade-al Floriad. We should be back the 23rd-ish.
