Saying you have a kink is not the same as revealing the nature of it.
 
I'd admit to something here. Its not like you're going to show up at my front door to confront me. And yes, I do have kinks.
 
Kinky or normal?

The more I read posts on this forum, the more I wonder if there's any such thing as a kink. Seems to me a lot of people happily admit to things that we might have assumed other people would regard as kinky. And surely, the more people who admit to liking something, the less kinky it is. I used to think that I was one of a very small minority who like watersports. Now, if Lit people and dedicated porn sites are anything to go by, I know that's certainly not the case. Maybe we're all "normal".
 
This is the world as I see it:

10% are hopelessly vanilla or worse (basically not very sexual at all)

10% are vanilla with no real interest in kink

10% are beyond kinky to the extreme

10% are kinky and willing to admit it

30% are kinky but discreet

30% either are kinky or would like to be kinky but can't figure out how to find a partner or are too scared to find a partner thinking that the other will think they are weird
 
I just reveal them in the appropriate threads. I try not to cross certain lines that might be a bit steep for the thread I would curently be in.

I figure the more I know about women the better off I am.

Don't take my wicked sense of humour too much to heart. A simple one-character typo that created a very funny image in my mind.

I really don't see the point of this thread. If you can mention that particular fetish, then it does not comply with the condition anymore. And if you want to comply, then you cannot say anything.

I agree really. Surely the "Kink we won't even admit here" is the one that for us is at the very edge of what we personally regard as rather "wheew, that's pretty strange." So if we think that, then we'd obviously assume if we told anyone else, then they'd think we're weird and we'd never be able to strike up a conversation with anyone on Lit again.

In other words, everyone probably has at least ONE, but sometimes they'd be surprised other people actually regard it as rather mild. But what we really fear is that even the safe/sane/consensual/legal (those are my boundaries) things we might have got off on, if not embraced by the majority, will be misconstrued as being our everyday sexual desires and alienate us.

Some of my edgier kinks are not something I have to act out continually, and those that are only fantasies may remain so forever. To me it's about "consensual". If I figured a woman shared those kinks, fine, and we'd go for it. Otherwise they are are personal to me. So yes, in a way this thread is pointless because we probably all have those areas that are private to us and any other like-minded kinkster.
 
Quite a few. Most are explored in my stories, so I've admitted to them there. But you'll have to read the stories to discover them.

The kink I don't reveal here is the one that I secretly hope to have uncovered. It's a deep seated desire. It's not that I won't reveal it but more that I choose not to reveal it. I think I misread the original posters question.
