His last page and summation about her (1983)...

But WHAT caused her drunken ass to want to flee that yacht when she couldn't swim? What happened beforehand for her to freak the fuck out and thrust her non-swimming body/life out there in those cold waters? Where was hubby Robert Wagner and fellow bud Christopher Walkin??

The reopening of the case was spurred by the then Captain of the yacht making a statement. I suspect he is trying to capitalize on the anniversary of her death. I always thought she drank too much, was pissed at Wagner and did a foolish thing. She climbed into the boat, despite being unable to swim and being under the influence she fell out. People do dumb things when drinking.

His interview this morning on the Today show was hilarious. The guy was asked what evidence he had and he wouldn't say and then when they asked if he was just trying to cash in he said he had evidence but then when asked again he wouldn't say. He was so obviously full of shit it almost became painful to watch.
