Me either. I have alienated one too many people here I consider friends. My views may differ from theirs, but we can agree to disagree and let it go at that. I'm willing to start fresh and relegate politics to it's own forum. Oddly enough, in most RL conversations it's best to avoid religion, politics and sex to keep things amicable. I've posted up the line what I think should be done with the AH--and it doesn't include an impossible ban on political exchanges/topics. I'll let you do your seasonal whining now about everyone not do what you want them to do.

As far as I'm concerned, you could start by not being a parasite yourself and posting stories to Literotica to justify being on the AH at all.

It's a good idea, really. PM Manu about it, see if it's feasable. That's really the criterion for which things get changed around here.

The AH is unmoderated and there's been no hint from management that it ever will be moderated. If a political forum is added, what's to make anyone post political threads there rather than here? The irritant posters doing that are going to continue to post where they can irritate. That's why they are posting what they are here now rather than (or in addition to) the General Board. If all else fails, try common sense.

We have two fundamental problems at AH....actually 3. AH doesnt wanna be GB LITE, so it is left with 2 arenas: WRITING and SEXUAL POLITICS. From what I see lotsa folks get their asses handed to them when they go in either arena, and they dont like it. Instead of learning to take a punch and come back they whine. In my time and view the AH has always been a slower moving GB with better vocabulary and manners, for the most part, regarding the latter.

Someone complained earlier on this thread that there weren’t enough threads in AHland these days.

My opinion is that there’s far too many. I don’t want to name names but just as an example let me mention two – JoeLuis and 1313. Every fucking day they start threads on every conceivable subject. I shudder every time I see their names as THREADMASTER.

I’m going to mention some threads from 1313. I’m not trying to pick on her (in fact at least she’s an accredited author and also an esteemed member of the 100+ COMMENTS club). But just look at the topics covered by these threads, and the responses they evoke.

We can complain all we want about that amicus guy and the nut from northern florida and the boat person but what about 1313? I suggested many moons ago to amicus that he start and maintain just one official AMICUS THREAD. Then, instead of starting a new one every day he could instead simply post his daily thoughts on the one thread he’d already opened. We'd go there if we were interested.

My suggestion now is that 1313 and joeluis do the same. One thread!

Or listen if they had to they could try to THREADMASTER even 2 or 3 separate threads at the same time.

For example 1313 could have one called:

YIKES! 1313’s EROTIC take on the Weather and various National Disasters and Special Occasions.

Threads like the following that she’s started all within the last little while could all have been posted to this one mega thread:

Enjoy Canada, then. It's not the USA injecting itself into "everyone's" fantasies and goals in the world. If Canada was in USA's power position--both in raw power and in cultural influence--it too would have the same negative images--and problems--as well.

Perhaps if you just enjoyed what you have and didn't harp on what others have, your cozy spot would remain a secret longer. There certainly are perks to being in the second, third, and fourth ranks.
