I'll second Jo on that suggestion. It's been a while but the last time I checked, many excellent stories are represented in the top lists.

How can a story with a score of 4.52 be described as "almost universally accepted as LITEROTICA’S greatest story?" It's a pretty good score, but there are thousands that are higher. You know as well as the rest of us that "views" is not necessarily readers

Good old boxy! For those of you who don’t know the boxman I should point out that he is a member of the 1000+ VOTE club. Which is quite an accomplishment.

Unfortunately he’s also a SURVIVALIST (although not as bad as most of them!).

Anyway let me address your question good sir:

First of all it has received more 5 votes than any story on the site – over 20,000 so far. Which means that this story has more perfect scores than the next five highest vote receiving non-scouries stories have combined.

It also has received more comments than any other story on the site.

And, although its much younger than most stories on the MOSTVIEWS list it is in the top twenty all time.

And furthermore, the results of a recent study commissioned by the PALACE and overseen by the magnificent MANU, showed that this story had the highest percentage of complete reads by different readers compared to views of any story on the site. Of the two point two plus million views reported the study found that “Daddy”, I Whispered has had more than two point one million different readers who not only started the story but also read right to the end. Which is a record.

And finally, this story has generated more ROYALTIES than any other fifty stories on the site (not counting other scouries stories).

So my friend I do believe I can stand by my original claim.​

I'm also pretty good at crunching numbers. First, I don't believe you when you say you have over 20,000 votes of "5". For one thing, I don't believe you actually know how many you have and, for another, If you did have MORE THAN 20,000 votes of "5" that would mean all the other votes were all one bombs to give you a score of 4.52. In other words, you are saying everybody votes either a "5" or a "1" on this story.

I also don't believe there is any way of knowing whether or not a person reads to the end of a story. You can count how many times the story is opened, but there is no way to tell if it is being read or not. I also don't believe there is any way of knowing how many different people view a story, besides not knowing how many actually read it.

I do believe you if you say the story in question has had as many royalties paid to you by Literotica as EVERY OTHER STORY ON THE SITE COMBINED!! I could say the same thing about any story of mine or anybody else's.​

To add to what Box said, if you check the comments Scouries brags about. Over half of them are either his or one of his alts.

As for the part about Manu doing anything for scouries, that is a joke. Neither he nor Laurel will even answer his constant stream of bullshit PM and e-mails.

As for the most views as usual check scouries fingers. All the prints are gone from him constantly clicking on the view button.

Agree. Firebrain is using fresh approaches matched with excellent writing on Lit., I think--although I haven't found them too erotic. And for more traditional approaches to good erotica, the ones I've read of TXRad are very good too.

As I have said before, if you are looking for high quality works of erotic literature, don't read my stuff, at least not most of it. If you want high quality, detailed and graphic smut, false modesty aside, I consider myself to be the best.

I shouldn't plug myself, but I'm tired of pretending I'm not the greatest rock star the written word has ever made love to. A normal mind cannot process my greatness, hense my low scores.

In all seriousness, I feel for your woman. I, too, care about quality prose and, no disrespect to anyone at AH (half of whom I've yet to read), the prose I've found at Lit ranges from adequate to horrible. And sadly for me, the writers whose ideas most arouse me are not the better word-smiths.

She might, however, enjoy Darkie's LST3K stories, which make fun of the worst-written stories on Lit (one of which, I understand, was written by the self-congradulating scouries).

The irony, Dark, is that the least sophisticated are not only the worst writers, they are the ones least able to dsistinguish their own prose from that of Hemingway. The fact that you know your limits speaks well of your quality.
