Okay, perhaps it's not subspace, but I've definitely had some kinds of intense psychological changes during vanilla sex, and I'm wondering if anyone else has heard of this.
I'll try to explain as best as I can. My fiance and I most commonly have vanilla sex. I'm very easy to get off, and I'd say I usually have between 20 and 30 orgasms (of varying intensity and location) before he gets his. Now, he's got some stamina. At some point later on in the act, I become thoroughly exhausted. I'll have a short break to get my heart rate and breathing back to normal, and continuing after that is when things get strange.
From that point on every touch is intense. I will not want to stop, I will not want to "officially" come because it already feels like I'm constantly coming. If he gets off when I'm in this state of mind, he notices differences with me even as long as a half an hour after sex. He tells me my voice is different, and the way I talk. I'm excitable and giggly. I continue to crave sex and want to be touched.
However, there's a point beyond my "sex high" which is very different. Continuing on when I'm way past the point of orgasm(s) makes me feel very numb. I'm not in any pain, but I'm not feeling any pleasure either. When sex is over in this state of mind, I get this indescribable feeling, one that I've actually experienced since I was about 4. I'm assuming it's dissociation--I feel heavy and slow. I can't talk or make any sort of sudden movement. There's this deep feeling of depression that for whatever reason I feel distinctly in my chest. I've been trying for about 15 years to come up with the right way to describe it, and so far no such luck.
Has anyone else experienced either of these mental states during vanilla sex? I know subspace and sub drop are common in BDSM, so I figure I'd ask the people who know about some of the psychological changes during sex.
