Karl Rove sounded a depressing tone for Republicans late Tuesday night, warning that surprise Delaware GOP Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell has said “nutty things” and has ruined the party’s chances of winning the seat.

“I’ve met her. I wasn’t frankly impressed by her abilities as a candidate,” Rove said during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “One thing that O’Donnell is now going to have to answer in the general election that she didn't in the primary is her own checkered background.”

Jeez. Rove is out there telling the truth. I wonder how long he will last on Fox Spews.

Odds are she didn't get it from the citizens of Delaware. How do you feel about outsiders coming in to a political race and trying to tell the locals what to do?

As long as a Congressman or Senator that doesn't live in my state can be allowed to vote for a tax increase on my income, fuel, cell phone, etc for the purpose of funding something to benefit his state, then I should be able to help defeat him with my money by contributing it to his opponent.

I guess as long as it's legal, then why not? As long as MoveOn, SEIU, AFL-CIO etc. can come in and be political "crowds", and contributors for Dems, why should the left be bothered by individual citizens putting their money where their interests are?

Or should I only be allowed to contribute to the RNC and hope they support the candidates I like? This is why the Repubs have so many RINO's as it is.

Unions don't seem to have a problem using dues to support Dems.. I seriously doubt the rank and file Union members are all dems

And there is a huge difference between Soros', BILLIONS, and my measly $100.

The people who voted for O'Donnell don't think W. was conservative, they don't think McCain is conservative, and they are tired of Republicans who don't mind the government takeover of medical care (or almost any other liberal cause) as long as it doesn't happen too fast.

Going along to get along is what lost the House and Senate for the Republicans in '06

They won in '94 on Conservative ideals, then got drunk with power and started being semi-Statists. Abandoning what got them there in the process.

But you and I know this has nothing at all to do with being pragmatic. That's what makes this whole thing so interesting.
These people want the Republican Party to stand for something, but after eight years of W. it seems the only thing that separates the Democrats and a lot of Republicans in office is foreign policy. The way the Republicans spent before 2007 says a lot about the current makeup of the party.
Of course, after 2006, the way the Democrats spent says volumes more.
