Karl Rove building "shadow Republican Party" to beat the Dems -- and the Tea Party?

Rove cant control the Tea Party cuz there is no management of the Tea Party. What Rove wants to do is create a Moderate Republican Party for the elites, like existed before Barry Goldwater and Reagan came along. Its a simple reaction to the pitchfork mob that hates Washington.

If the Tea Party has no management, then who is organizing the rallies and paying Palin for her speeches. She isn’t doing this for free.

My impression is it's kinda like science-fiction fandom: There really are no overall Secret Masters of Fandom, but some local group periodically has to get organized enough, in ad hoc way, to put on a convention.

The Tea Party movement may have no top-level orchestrator, but that's part of why it exists. To eschew the power elite.
