Okay. I totally get that a person pays for fame with a lost of privacy--whether or not that's right or fair, it's the way it is, and has always been. Whether you're famous for being Charles Dickens or a Vanderbilt or a prince, anyone who has ever gained fame has had their life scrutinized--who they date, who they marry, who they have an affair with....
But I've hit my limit with Tiger's public apology. WTF?
I know we're still a puritan country, but I thought we'd gotten past forcing adulterers to stand in the public square with scarlet "A's" on their chests. Put his dalliances in the newspapers just because it'll sell if you like, but the only one deserving of an apology is his wife and that outta be done in private.
Unless, of course, Tiger's been having a lot more affairs than any of us suspected and needs to apologize on tv because it'd take too long to call each girl up and apologize over the phone....
