i predict it will suck.
and samanthamom harry osborne was also the 2nd green goblin when everyone thought his father was dead. i was hoping they would have done the resurection plotline at the end of three. and it saddened me deeply that they used venom like he is an afterthought when he is spidermans best villian(at least the eddie brock versions was)
he was known as the hobgoblin... or hobby as spidey calls him
Harry Osborn is a fictional character, a supporting character of Spider-Man in the Marvel Comics Universe. In addition to being Peter Parker's best friend, Harry was the second Green Goblin and is the son of the first, Norman Osborn.
before he bcame hobgoblin he did a run as the green goblin to avenge spider man killing his father. here is a quote from his wikipedia page
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Osborn
he was also later the hobgoblin. he also died and has recently come back to life in a recent comic and peter tries to turn him to the good side but harry turns him in to his father who is the leader of the dark avengers.
yeah im a comic nerd. i even have some mint golden age stuff.
I'll grant you that Harry's first run as a goblin was appearing as Green Goblin, however, you ask 100 or more readers old enough to know both incarnations of Harry's villain, and you're more than likely gonna get Hobgoblin from most of them.
not denying that. but it was not an issue for him to be the next green goblin in the movie because he was the green goblin in the comic. the movies were made for people who never read the comics or only a few. most of them never heard of the hobgoblin. thats why they are not having such an easy time introducing villians in the spiderman movies and why every fucking superman movie has lex luthor.

If they make a WoW movie, I'm hoping that a majority of the characters are CG.
I've played WoW since beta, and just can't imagine actors playing Thrall, Vol'jin, Cairne Bloodhoof, or any other Orc, Troll, or Tauren. Remember Dennis Hopper playing Bowser in the Super Mario movie? That's what it would be like.
I'd like to see the movie start with Malfurion Stormrage and Maiev hunting down Illidan. And then tell the story all the way up to when Arthas kills his father.
This movie will suck! WoW gamers won't like it and people who havent' heard of WoW won't see it. I predict a flop at the box office.
I highly doubt it will suck. Not with the money activision/blizzard is putting into it. Not with Sam Raimi at the helm. And not with 11 million people waiting to buy a $10 ticket.
11 million. That's a number that Blizzard likes to throw around. But it's not 11 million current subscribers, and a good majority of that 11 million are Chinese Farmers.

*laughing* actually, the definition of subscribers in the MMO world as well as in the pay tv world is "Current" subscribers. Whether or not even a large number of them is chinese farmers, let alone a majority remains to be seen. I mean they boot 50k subscribers here or 20k subscribers there and it doesn't seem to hurt the real playing base of the game, so I highly doubt it.
I made my prediction and you made yours. We'll have to see, how it goes.
well, see, that's another topic entirely...Lex Luthor...He's not just a villain...He's the Arch-Villain...the Arch-Enemy. He shouldn't get killed off, ever, except maybe to die of old age. The Dark Knight was a good example, you can't kill the Joker. You can put him in Arkham for a while, til he escapes and causes more trouble for Bats. That's My thouhgt on that.
Even on their forums, the blues (Blizz employees) admit that there aren't 11 million active subscribers. The number is closer to 5 million active players...which is still a large number.
I've seen many guilds just up and fold because their membership has vanished...and we're talking high-level raiding guilds. I've seen 90% of my friend list inactive for over 6 months. The forums are filled with similar stories.
So while Blizz may have 11 million subscribers in their database, the fact that they have the RaF program (Recruit a Friend w/ triple experience) and Scroll of Resurrection program (offering free months if you bring a previous player back to the game)...it just shows that their numbers are dwindling faster than they'll admit.
You gotta remember though, Superman is a comic from the 50's on, or was that 40's. In any event there are a ton of villains most know nothing about. Besides Lex wasn't always the villain in the superman movies, there was the three convicts from his home world in superman 2 or 3, and the computer in superman 5 I think it was.
Are you sure he helped with the computer? I don't remember there being a Lex Luther in that one.
Anyway, you are so a geek boy.Though dang 32, I didn't know it went that far back, so I gotta ask, what happened to him during WW2? I don't recall seeing any war era comics of superman, Captain America sure, who hasn't seen those, but not superman.
