So Raimi is making World of Warcraft

I think we've all missed the most important question here and that's what kind of cameo will Bruce Campbell have in the WoW movie.
I don't know WoW very well at all but I'm hoping he plays an Ash-y type character. Seems like the perfect scenario for it.

There's enough lore in WoW to make a decent flick. Raimi isn't exactly the worst director in the world. We'll see.

FTR, I was dreading the first LotR film, but it turned out fantastically.

I've been a Raimi fan since the first Evil Dead and I think this material suits him but I think it can also be a setup for disaster no matter who makes it.
I'm with you on LOTR. I didn't expect much and was very surprised.

First Tomb Raider movie would have been loads better with an actual talent as Lara instead of the slut with big probably fake tits they got.

Second movie was so braindead nobody could have saved it, it was written on par with the T&A 80's fantasy movies, with no actual T&A so it sucked on all levels.

I remember seeing a rumor that they were thinking of making another Tomb Raider with Megan Fox instead of talentless with tits. Though only the one rumor so it either fell through or wasn't happening anyway.

Anyway so moving on to other movies, anybody think they are going to redo the original Star Wars movies? Lucas hasn't said anything about more movies but you know any star wars movies would be blockbusters so it would make sense for him to either redo the old ones or do episodes 7-9 which he says are foreseen.

I'm with KR, I want to see Bruce Campbell do a role I can stand to watch him doing, I know he's in Burn Notice but he's not looking so hot and the darn main guy is annoying so I can't stand to watch it.

I don't know who the fuck Ash is, but I think he would be great as a wisecraking human rogue.

Generally when someone acts that brainless, it's best to simply ignore them.

Considering Angelina Jolie is just Tits and Lips shes still twice the actress that Megan Fox is who isn't Tits, Ass or Lips, she's simply young.

I don't remember the second movie very well but the first Tomb Raider was really on the edge of being actually good. The first Mortal Kombat movie was good too while we're at it.

I'm pretty sure Megan can act, not a doubt Jolie can't at this point but Megan hasn't really done anything that would let her show any talent so far. Though there is a movie coming shortly with her that looks promising on showing acting talent.

Mortal Kombat had some hunky guys, was there a story? I don't remember I am always to busy watching drooling and getting him horny. ;)

Lucas talked about his original vision being 9 stories. But before the completion of the trilogy of 1-3 he said he was all but certain there would never be 7-9 movies. For one, the canon has gone in a million directions he never originally foresaw when he licensed the material out for novels. And because lucasarts approves every plot for the work that is done in the StarWars universe it is all technically canon and he doesn't want to work with anyone else's material.

it is canon in a sense but since the movies came first it is the movies that are canon. any discrepency goes back to the movie for source. after the first film there was a book where luke kills vader and marries leia and they rule the universe together. but you wouldnt consider that canon i hope.

I don't know, I suppose if you're big into incest.

Though that is actually why I first asked if he would redo episodes 4-6. Besides the fact they would sell huge numbers he can rework them to fit with the assorted books of the era and get them a bit closer to his original vision of the story instead of going back later and pissing off alot of people, for no particular reason.

gnat, actually the book you're referring to wasn't directly authorized by lucas if I'm not mistaken.

He's laid down very specific rules for what can and can't be touched in the novels that are being released now so that they always maintain continuity with the movies and each other. He wants a cohesive universe that always works together.

it never will be though. they cant even keep the spiderman books cohesive just because when they change writers they change visions. with these SW books its the same way. especially with people wanting to read about original trilogy characters.

btw i would like to see episodes 7-9. i like the original trilogy better. i just hope to god they dont do a indiana jones 5. the forth one was horrible

have you read the starwars books? they're actually quite cohesive, all falling into one timeline. they even incorporated the books that were young adult into the timeline so that as the kids grew up they became part of the cast used by the adult authors.

Not since the epic Dungeons and Dragons has a movie given me less reason to watch it before it is even made.

Hey I thought Indiana Jones 4 was pretty good, some parts were all sorts of dumb but overall it was a darn good rendition of Indiana Jones. Besides you gotta keep in mind Indiana Jones is a throwback to the cliffhanger movies Lucas grew up to, which were designed to be enjoyed by kids and those young at heart, there will always be parts of what the heck were they thinking.

Even the first movie had that, the hulking gas station attendant in the airbase that didn't know how to get out of the way of the plane. The fight was great up to that and then it's like, dang he was stupid.
