Democrats in history - Let's take a look.

Karen Krap and her alt Powerturd cover up current right ring Republican racism and their pathological hatred of equal opportunity. So they try to cover up their sick white supremacist base and endless right wing racial slurs about President Obama by taking some ancient historical quotes out of context.

As Leonard Pitts once wrote, the [racist] Republican Party was created by a single stroke of Lydon Johnson's pen!

The southern Democrats then left the party [thank God] and formed the rabid right wing neocon John Bircher Republican base that wallows in its current ignorance and racism today.

Of which Kraen Krap, using the ancient tactic of accusation in a mirror, tries to deflect criticism from current Republican base's racist acts by accusing liberals of what Republicans are clearly guilty of.

Nice try at a lie, toots. Now babysit your post and write some lame defense of your current batch of right wing slander and lies, race baiter!

Actually, it is southern democrats that are the most racist people I have met. (Besides the Japanese.)

I live in Arkansas, where all of the senators and congressmen and the Governor are all democrats...and there is terrible racism. Why do you think the federal government was supervising the state education system until just recently?

Partisan bullshit?

She is pointing out that ignorance and racism exists along the entire political spectrum and is not just on the right of center.

yes, even though there's an order of magnitude difference between the two political extremes, the power of false equivalency allows the Karen Krafts of the world to exclaim "the other side did it toooooooooooooooooo, mom!"

....and the Aviator1976s of the world nod their head in dumb agreement.

"Order of magnitude difference" that you can't objectively substantiate.

It must be nice to live in your world and make wild claims without feeling obligated to support those claims with anything other than your opinion.

I'd give northern democrats equal footing. Remember reading about the busing riots in Boston in the 70's? There's still a great tension right under the surface there and many other northern places.

My entire extended family is from rural Minnesota and I am not saying they are racist, but when you don't have to deal with any minorities on a daily basis it is easy to claim there are no racial issues.

Free country numbnuts. It's an unmoderated general discussion board. meaning, talk about whatever the fuck you want to here.

If your only interest is looking at porn why are you not exclusively in AmPics? This is the General Board, a place to talk about anything not covered in the other forums here at Lit.

Now that you mention it there are specific forums for threads like those you mentioned, like AMPics. A better question is why are THEY here and not there where they arguably belong.

Last I checked there is no politics only forum.

so your answer is you come to a porn board to talk politics and not to see naked women.

meanwhile Bill Clinton , whose hero was Gov Orval Faubus the staunch Arkansas segregationist, was made an honorary member of an all Black fraternity:

I supported my opinion with fact...

Racism was so bad in Arkansas that the federal government supervised the state education system and forced bussing and integration policies because the state refused to do it.

Remember Central High School? The Little Rock 9? Things have not changed a whole lot.

So if I understand your logical house of cards correctly, people you know in Arkansas must be racist nowadays if they are Democrats because of forced bussing and integration turmoil in the 1950s.

Gotcha.

1. The people of the state have a history of racism. And it is not ancient history. The Supremem Court just ended federal oversight of education last year. The major school districts still have unsettled lawsuits involving race.

2. The people of the state are predominantly democrats. (As demonstrated by the fact that all representatives to Congress are democrats.)

You do the math.

If blacks were given the right to vote, that would "place every splay-footed, bandy-shanked, hump-backed, thick-lipped, flat-nosed, woolly-headed, ebon-colored Negro in the country upon an equality with the poor white man."

--Rep. Andrew Johnson, (D., Tenn.), 1844
President, 1865-69

Democrats to not respect minorities.

How can you expect us to take you seriously, karen, when you post stuff like this?

Correction...5 of the 6 representatives to Congress are democrats.

And the governor

The flaws in the OP are a logician's wet dream. Don't do yourself the disfavor of trying to argue it on its merits.

Of course there are and have been racist Democrats. Duh. Now what?

Nothing, that is my point...racism exists throughout the entire political spectrum. It is ignorant and naive to argue that members of one party are racists or that the members of another are not. Both parties have some whack jobs...

How much time have you spent in AR?

Well what do you think of your fellow Democrat Andrew?

He was a conservative. I think that xenophobia and racism have always went hand in hand with conservatism. Which is why I identify myself as a liberal and not necessarily a Democrat.
