We The People

That wasn't aimed at you, sweetie. You're the soul of decorum.
Well, then why don't you cut out all the passive-aggressive trolling and self-righteous moralizing and simply address what your issues are? Who are you aiming at? Why do you whine about "lack of decorum" and "usual suspects" and "civil discourse", but never, ever actually advance the discussion with specific points made in an understandable fashion with reasonable supporting evidence?

Some disgruntled old bonehead with a camcorder, puffy shirt and tri-corner hat cops a vaguely British accent and intones some recycled Libertarian crackpot bullshit with a glass of wine in his hand, and you have to have a circle jerk about it with Ami, DP, and about three people I've got on "ignore". Then you all wrap yourselves in the Constitution, sit back, and complain. And when you get called on it, you play the victim card. That's this whole thread, in a nutshell. Plus countless others.

You are not winning any converts to your point of view. Rather than appearing sensible and open-minded, you are showing yourself to be shallow, callous, narrow-minded, and dogmatic. You're full of platitudes, not policies. Then you wonder why no one likes you.

10 Enemies of Freedom

1. Religious suppression.
2. Censorship of the press.
3. Excessive force on peaceful protestors.
4. Imprisonment for challenging the government.
5. Oppression on the basis of gender, class, or race.
6. Corruption and influence peddling.
7. Elections that lack genuine accountability
8. Violations of civil and human rights.
9. The silencing of a voice and a vote.
10. Apathy and fear.

What it means:

1. Religious suppression. - 50 years of anti Christian attacks by ACLU
2. Censorship of the press. or corrupting it as is happening now
3. Excessive force on peaceful protestors.
4. Imprisonment for challenging the government. I'm pro life and an NRA member, I'm a terrorist according to the Director of DHS.
5. Oppression on the basis of gender, class, or race.
6. Corruption and influence peddling. The entire Congress and majority of all State Legislatures
7. Elections that lack genuine accountability - any vote done on an electronic machine without a paper trail. About 20% of Novembers election.
8. Violations of civil and human rights.
9. The silencing of a voice and a vote.
10. Apathy and fear. At least 40% of the US population

Have fun Y'all!

Where the fuck do you get off elevating your own warped opinions to the level of "Enemies of Freedom"? Why must you cast yourself in the role of Quixotic Defender of Righteous Values? Your ideas have been tried and found wanting - no one wants to follow that path anymore. They weren't good policy ideas, however principled or founded in inspirational Revolutionary War rhetoric. Wrapping yourself in the flag might give you some consolation, but it makes you look like a dick to those of us who don't wish to get drawn into your own compensation strategies.

You have it part right, but there are some things you leave out:

1. The hundreds of years of suppression of other faiths by "Christians." and their attempt to enforce their agenda (anti-abortion, anti-homosexual, school prayer, etc.)

2. The press is ALWAYS censored - by the owners of said press. As long as the censorship is not by the government, we can live with that.

3. When is excessive force used on PEACEFUL protesters? Force is properly used on rioters who are destroying property and inflicting injury on bystanders or violating the civil rights of others.

4. If you get arrested for these opinions, you have a point. If you are criticized for them, live with it.

5. I agree, especially when it involves quotas, enforced by courts.

I pretty much agree with the rest of what you say, axcept I think your figure of 40% is too high if you are talking about the adult population.

THE SHORT ANSWER IS: YOUR IDEAS SUCK AND MINE ARE TERRIFIC.

I think that's the generally held opinion here. My ideas are great, but everybody else is out of touch with reality.

Actually, Huck, you would probably agree with most of what Double Penetration posted if it had been somebody else who did it.

OK, your turn.

Global Warming Claims A Lot of Hype
By Phil Brennan

S. Fred Singer, a renowned climatologist and professor of environmental sciences emeritus at the University of Virginia, discussed the background behind the recent open letter to Congress he and six other scientists sent to members of the House and Senate. In the letter, the scientists cited a letter sent by the Woods Hole Research Center, which exhorted Congress to act quickly to avoid a global disaster due to alleged global warming.

Singer said the Woods Hole group “put on a sort of scary exaggerated kind of letter to Congress ahead of the vote in the House in an obvious attempt to stampede them into voting for the Waxman-Markey [cap and trade environmental] bill.” Singer explained: “We thought it would be useful to write a letter that would provide a balance. The instigator of the letter was Harold Lewis, a retired professor of physics at the University of California in Santa Barbara.” Lewis, he said, “provided the initial draft, several of us made comments and seven of us signed our names to it.” Lewis sent the letter “to every member of Congress.

Asked if it is not established that the earth is cooling, Singer explained that “The earth is either always warming or cooling; one cannot tell which it is unless one specifies the time interval. “It’s like the stock market: it is rising or falling. Both depend on whether it’s a week or a month or a year. It’s the same with the temperature - if we start during the last Ice Age 15,000 years ago, then the temperatures have warmed. If you start from the Little Ice Age, which ended 200 years ago, it certainly has warmed. If you start from the Medieval Warming Period, it has cooled.

“If you start from 1998, however, then it has not warmed - it has cooled. So it depends on the time interval. People argue about this, and much of the difference between groups comes about when you don’t specify the time interval. There’s no question that the climate has not been warming in the last 10 years.” Reminded that there were members of Congress standing up in the debate and talking about the terrible things that are happening now as a result of global warming, Singer said: “That’s all eye wash. That’s not true. That’s simply hype.”

He went on to explain that “Nothing untoward is happening. The ice is not melting any faster, the sea level is not rising any faster. Hurricanes are not increasing in intensity or frequency; there’s been no impact.

That's not the point, Box.
DP wasn't engaging in civil discourse - he was merely framing his opinions in such a way as to make it seem as if disagreeing with him is the same is being an "Enemy of Freedom", whatever the fuck that is. He's like the playground bully that keeps poking his finger in your shoulder, then when you punch him he whines to the Principal that you threw the first punch.

Oh! Around here there are no standards nor civility. When you dislike something you stand at the door warning newcomers that no one likes so & so and he's on ignore! Its so GIRL.

4. Imprisonment for challenging the government. I'm pro life and an NRA member, I'm a terrorist according to the Director of DHS.
Citation please. Until I've seen a source, I'll consider this wharrgarbl.

7. Elections that lack genuine accountability - any vote done on an electronic machine without a paper trail. About 20% of Novembers election.
Them voting puters didn't have that? I suggest someone figure out a way for people to vote via ATM next election. At least they can print a reciept.

Things you'll only read on a porn board, example #3241. :D

Whenever I see that abbreviation, that's what I think of. Partly because I usually have a story in progress that includes one. Sometimes even a triple one and twice a quintuple penetration.

Are there nostrils or ears involved?

No. One was Busty Jessica, and she was jacking off a man while her other hand was driving a dildo in and out of another woman's ass. The other was Mrs. Giggles and she was masturbating one man while thrusting her fingers into a pussy. These aren't exactly penetrations, but the principle is the same.

Of course, triple penetrations are fairly ordinary in my stories. Sometimes one of those is the central woman eating a pussy and sometimes it involves a cock in her mouth.

I tell you Dude, I write pure smut.

No, more like the one that listens and puts up with the personal attacks until it's time to silence them. Quickly and without niceties.

I'm not the one that took my ball and went home. I won't leave no matter how bad the attacks get. Because every personal attack on me is an admission of the other sides lack of credibility and valid arguments.

The funniest part of the 10 Enemies list?

It's could be the outine the founding fathers based the Declaration of Independance, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights on. Which of those 10 are not protected by the Constitution or the Bill of Rights?

If people would think before spewing tripe...

Huck, you may now feel foolish.

You know, I believe I have critisised, or "attacked" you and others in these threads now and then.

And my critisism have always been to make the point that some of your more outlandish claims lack credibility and valid arguments.

"I'm pro life and an NRA member, I'm a terrorist according to the Director of DHS", you said.

Produce something that backs that up, I say, or else I can't view it as nothing but inflammatory, passive agressive nonsense.

That's not an admission that I lack arguments. I don't make claims (ETA, cause I'm a coward, or cause I don't speak unless I know what i'm talking about, take your pick), so I don't have any to defend agaist scrutiny. If I did, I would indeed need arguments.

For every belief there is an opposite belief.

For every argument there is an equally passionate opposing argument.

Without the forum of verbal intercourse no one would know anything of the other side of an argument.

What you believe in is your's, to do with as you wish.

What I believe in is mine. I usually believe in things that are tangible and can be touched, handled or have made their presence known. Those things that have no substance, are not tangible, can't be touched or have no presences are things I am not willing to believe.

Therefore :

Organized Religion is a waste of my time. I know of no one that has proven there is a God.

Global Warming, it was hotter out when I was a teenager. So far I have seen no tangible proof of global warming. No matter how many people scream and call me a denier.

Obama, I believe is the worst thing that has happened to this country. The past hundred years have been a bad time for this county and the freedom guaranteed by the Constitution. There is tangible evidence of this in Washington DC this very minute.

There has been no tangible proof of conspiracy. Of any kind.

That one was for all the people that asked if I believed in a conspiracy in Washington.

ZEB...two things...classifying the fundamentals of human freedom as expressed by our founding documents as a 'belief', is a tragic error which opens the issue of the primacy of individual rights to mere, 'opinion'.

One must 'know', as objective, absolute truth, that each human is born with the innate right to life, liberty and the property to support that life. It is not a matter of belief, but of definition and knowledge.

Secondly; I have been engaged in this debate for nearly half a century and there is a 'conspiracy', albeit a loose one, to destroy the only totally free nation in the history of the world, America.

It is more, much more, than a political conspiracy, it is a philosophical and sociological conspiracy held together by faith in the collective, be it Church or State, over the primacy of the individual.

It is promulgated by the intellectual elite, the media community, the art community and the education community and expresses itself through the environmental movement and the feminist movement, among many other groups. I said a 'loose' conspiracy, because these various groups do not entirely agree with all of each groups goals, but share the common distaste for the free market, thus individual human freedom.

Sorry for such a long winded post....

Amicus

As for the DHS, Napolitan released a memo that mention gun rights & pro life supporters as people to keep an eye on, along with returning combat Vets.! Needless to say the Vet part caused quite a stink. This was in March or April.

The electronic voting machines are too easy to mess with. Diebold has one that can't count accurately and doesn't have a paper trail. It is the worst but there is at least one other that is nearly as bad. I would rather go back to paper ballots and I'm a computer tech with some decent programming skills!
