Well, then why don't you cut out all the passive-aggressive trolling and self-righteous moralizing and simply address what your issues are? Who are you aiming at? Why do you whine about "lack of decorum" and "usual suspects" and "civil discourse", but never, ever actually advance the discussion with specific points made in an understandable fashion with reasonable supporting evidence? That wasn't aimed at you, sweetie. You're the soul of decorum.![]()
Some disgruntled old bonehead with a camcorder, puffy shirt and tri-corner hat cops a vaguely British accent and intones some recycled Libertarian crackpot bullshit with a glass of wine in his hand, and you have to have a circle jerk about it with Ami, DP, and about three people I've got on "ignore". Then you all wrap yourselves in the Constitution, sit back, and complain. And when you get called on it, you play the victim card. That's this whole thread, in a nutshell. Plus countless others.
You are not winning any converts to your point of view. Rather than appearing sensible and open-minded, you are showing yourself to be shallow, callous, narrow-minded, and dogmatic. You're full of platitudes, not policies. Then you wonder why no one likes you.
