do you think that someone posting intimate pictures would affect how you treat them or think about them?
would it discourage you from wanting to develop a relationship with them? would you have a problem with it?

i guess that from my perspective, this is mostly a question for all you Doms out there, but i am also interested in the sub point of view.

I would think of him/her as an exhibitionist, but would not treat him/her any differently because of this.

Yes, it would discourage me from seeking a relationship. An exhibitionist is a poor match for me.

No, I have no problem with non-partners exposing themselves. It's none of my business, and I really don't care.

Honestly, yes it would. Not very strongly or in a discriminatory sense, but it would definetely speak of someone's open-mindedness and a reduced level of inhibition in a positive way.

Now, OK, I appreciate that may to some extent be about not being identified - few of us use our real identities here, and although I still do I'm beginning to think perhaps I'm being really stupid. Identifying ourselves *here* - whether by name or by face - may affect how potential employers, etc, see us in the future. So if your reason for normally not showing your face is just that, then that seems to me entirely reasonable and potentially wise.

But there's an old Feminist meme about pornography that it objectifies women and that the lack of a face is a symbol of that objectification - that the woman is made 'just a body'. Is this part of why you (I mean 'you' in the sense of all those women who have posted headless pictures of themselves, not just you personally, Katt) choose to be portrayed headlessly? Is there a thrill in being objectified, in being seen just sexually?

In answer to your original question, I certainly would not think less of a woman who had chosen to post naked pictures of herself. I might think differently about her - I might form impressions about her boldness, or, alternatively, about need for the approval of others; but I don't think either of those things would make me think less of her.

this is an interesting point, though for me it is about not being identified...at least on a conscious level. but i admit, when i read your post i wondered if somewhere buried under that i was thinking that way.

I don't post my face. Privacy is of course one of the reason. The fact that I am never happy with how my face looks is another (and it would give away my age ).

sometimes...but mostly because there are other identifying things besides people's faces. i try to keep it to a minimum (revealing those), but i have quite a few tattoos. it becomes difficult to take a picture without getting one in the shot...
