They are wacked! The thermometer on my patio says 72F. But then it FEELS like 70F with the breeze we have right now. Damn, I hate wind chill!

There's a tree next door to me--don't know what kind it is, but it always blooms with purplish flowers in late January and it should be covered in leaves by mid-Feb. It's how I know spring has arrived.

You know, there are a good number of reasons why the great civilizations of the ancient world grew up around the Mediterranean Sea. A climate like California's was one of them. Spending too much time trying to stay warm detracts from thinking.
