Is it common to have a bit of bleeding after using a catheter (not full insertion) and subsequent burning sensation during urination?

Abrased urethra. Usually due to little used lube OR underdeflation of the anchor.
Tylenol, non-alkaloidal drinks with low acid content x's 1 week.

*hands you a lollypop*

*takes lollipop*

I swear, this is the last time I stick something up my urethra!

I just had a flashback to that time at the doctors office with the gigantic q-tip. It was like someone glued a bath towel to a mop handle.

oh I don't know - I got to sorta enjoy that feeling when I play with my sounds. However after several play sessions the burning goes away.

I can bring my urethra toys with me :D the next time I come to load up on pecans and red/green......

If it is inserted in the urethra. Otherwise in any other place, might be viewed as not common.
Yep.

Only if Daddy Shankie lets me sit on his lap. :D

Not to but in, but I would try lots of water, less caffeine, and maybe a little cranberry juice and aspirin.
Feel better soon

More water = more peeing = more burning pain .......

OMG, some of you are sadists!!! Where am I? This isn't Disneyland!!!!!

Keep an eye on your urine. Any small clots, blood staining or a pinkish colour means damage and a visit to the GP. If it becomes cloudy and strong smelling, you've got a UTI and will need a visit to the GP.

I assume that the catheter was sterile and touched by nothing before it entered you?

*gives Bett and hug*

Oh gawd I have to pee again.

The blood was only when it came out, I think I just managed to scratch the interior about four inches in as I can rub against the bottom of the shaft and there is a little spot that is tender. No subsequent blood in urine that I can detect.
