No ettiquette for av at all. Just make sure you don't use another member's photo for yours and everything else is acceptable.
For links in sig....when you edit your sig...just click the insert link button. The window that pops up let you write the url. Put the url there. It can be a url to any site or subsection of a site on the web...but not to a location on your comp.

Oh I have no clue about what's going on half the time here.
* Just try to act cool and don't ask questions...that's my policy....see everyone thinks I'm smart *

And no pics from me ladies..Even if I was brave enough to put them up ( which I'm not ), I think I'm too lazy to snap new ones or crop out my head from my exising ones.

Ok... Still a newbie here although I seem to be finding my way around. So far I have encountered some very nice people who are not only helpful when I'm not sure about something but full of praise for my contributions here as well.

I read this thread from the beginning, although there are threads her that have been going on for years and you simply cant read them in their entirety. For those I have settled for reading the first page to get the gist of the thread and then if its something simple like a game, just joining in or going back over the posts for the last couple of weeks or months to become familiar with the posters and style of conversation.

Something I didn't see mentioned here, was that your "privileges" (for lack of a better word) change depending on how many posts you make. It takes 100 posts to get an Avatar. And your PM mailbox will grow incrementally too. From 150 to 250 to ??? well I haven't gotten that far yet. What I'm curious about is what other "privileges" you get and when. Is that laid out anywhere?

I'm fairly new and would tell anyone in the same position to enjoy the great friendships available here, but steer clear of the sadistic, self promoting creeps on the general board.
