Well, there's "nice" and there's "kind."

The only man I've ever met who could get me to kneel to him wasn't "nice." He was sadistic, a smartass, and a bit of an egomaniac. But he was also the kindest soul I've ever known.

What most people describe as "nice" tends to be passive-aggressive, whiny, and selfish. We all know that annoying guy who complains that nice guys like him never get laid. Well, maybe that's because you're not "nice" things because you WANT to do them, but because you think it'll get you something.

Like, I think it's charming and gentlemanly when a man opens a door for me if he can pull it off with enough panache that it looks like the most natural thing in the world.
