I'll second the "depends on the men" point. There are some men who would have me climbing out the window and screaming "Please, no, don't leave me alone with them!"

And there are others that I'd have a wonderful time with. Generally speaking, those guys I'd have a good time with are *not* those who would hover over me. I am not the type to lap up attention like that. In fact, I pretty much hate that much attention.

Honestly, I prefer to be in a room with just one, worthwhile man, rather than be showered with half-genuine affection because I'm the only female in the room. I guess it's because I like people, but real people. I want the opportunity to get to know them which is possible but not highly probable when surrounded by a bunch of guys acting like peacocks.

It can be uncomfortable being in an all male enviroment. I realise that this isn't strictly speaking what the OP was talking about. But I spend years in the military being in a relative minority and on occassion being the only woman in a Unit.

It has it's advantages and disadvantages, you don't really have a proper mate that's not potentially trying to get into your knickers. You do feel very aware of being a woman especially if its for long periods.

I love it. The more the merrier, as long as there is music and conversation. I will not compete with TV and not especially sports on TV. I have my own requirements at 56 years of age and am not afraid to make demands.
