I just think that this advice to not be humble, to be the star that they see you to be, is a bunch of bull. Just be yourself, whether that's a swaggering big shot or just some average Joe/Jane who happens to write.

Well, sure, you say that.

Then you consistently and loudly ASSUME everyone who posts here, is, indeed, a swaggering big shot, even when they claim to be some average Joe/Jane who happens to write. Maybe you should believe what they tell you, rather than what you already think.

The issue with the line of your posts in this thread, as it often is in many threads, is your ASSUMPTION that we're all lying to you. Nobody here can help you with that.
