Turns out - not so much.

I love and respect men, but I know now that my heart wants a woman for my most intimate relationships.

It seems that the other lesbians here are already coupled (L and V, Abs and Vana, Grace and Misty, etc.). And I'm not even sure who's safe to flirt with - I never want to overstep any bounds!

What I'd like to do is open a thread for girls who like girls. Bi and lesbian women are welcome to come and meet and flirt (with me or with each other ;) ). Men are welcome to come and ogle the girly love.

Additionally, as a lesbian who is only fairly recently out, I'd like to use this thread to talk about the experiences of coming out and the differences in my life before and after I realized my orientation. I'd love it if other people wanted to share their experiences as well.

Did anyone mention you are too much out for a first timer? And how do the lesbians and bi-sexual chicks know for sure you are a chick and not a dude sussing for babes? You do seem like a guy sussing for online sex with babes, after all.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, Charley - but I almost always have that problem with your posts! I think I'm just not smart enough to get you. :)

If you're being serious, then I'm not sure what to say. I'm a woman. I've been at Lit for quite a while (though I took a long break recently). I've met several litizens in person - I'm pretty sure they'll all verify that I'm female. Also, I'm not even interested in online sex. That's not hard to get if you're looking for it.

I got my wife going to the Unitarian Universalist Church (which is a great place to go if you don't feel like you want to be harangued about Juh-heezus or that you have to beLIEVE). Unitarian churches tend to be big on being welcoming communities. The one we've gone to the last few years has such a high percentage of mid/later life lesbians that my wife once commented that the natural evolution of women seems to be "maiden, mother, lesbian."

That might be a good place to check out. Could be fun, too: you'll run into a bunch of people who like to talk and drink coffee.

I went to a UU church here for a couple of years. Eventually, I stopped going because of a few minor things. I've thought about going back, just for the community - it really is a wonderful spiritual philosophy. But, honestly, right now - between two jobs and a full-time school and three kids, I don't realistically see myself setting aside even half of my Sunday mornings.

Thanks for the idea though. I agree completely that it's a good way to meet like-minded people!

The paper went ok. I still need to upload it. I was working on the Spanish, hoping a brilliant title for the paper would occur to me! It's not happening so far. *le sigh*

Tomorrow's Spanish test, however, does not look good! :( I've never done this poorly in a class before and it's very disspiriting.
