Let's just say "mixed".
The low spot was that I'd roasted a joint of pork - Did all the stuff: boiling water to scald the skin, then rubbing in salt - oven hot, medium, then hot again to guarantee good crackling. The joint - and the crackling - was spot on!
Then the bloody dogs got their paws up on the counter and stole the crackling while we were eating in the next room!
By the time you notice, it's far too late to chastise the dogs, but fuck it! All that effort and something between two thirds and three quarters of that beautiful crackling gone without trace!
The only 'up' spot was that they'd recognised the best bit of the dish - recognised my culinary skills.
Tomorrow, the rest of it (meat and veg) is going to get minced into a pie! My pastry is just as good.
The little sods aren't going to get that!

To be fair, it's a short paper (less than 1000 words).
Yes, it's due to be uploaded by midnight tomorrow. I think I might finally be on to something. We needed two outside sources and I was having a difficult time finding something narrow enough to apply to my topic. However, I just came across an article on Marianismo (the female side of Machismo) from 1973. It's exciting that it's from 73 because that was the year of the Chilean revolution which is featured prominently in the novel. Hopefully, I can pull a couple of good quotes from it and get to the actual writing very soon! *fingers crossed*

Well then, I suppose you don't have a choice in doing it tonight, but at least it is a short paper. Outside sources can be tricky when the topic is narrow; it can take a lot of searching to find something truly applicable. Finding that article seems auspicious and should bode well for your paper.
