UNC and Kansas are both # 1 seeds in their particular regionals. So are Memphis and UCLA The only time one #1 seed plays another is in the Final four. It was actually more of a thetorical question.

Which "state" is that? NC State is not in the tournament.
Duke and KSU have both lost.

Okay, Kansas did eke out a win today. And they will probably beat the Sienna/Villanova winner. In the round after that, they will get their asses kicked by Wisconsin.
Actully, that's an exaggeration. The Badgers don't kick anybody's asses. What they do is to win by scores like 55 to 45, or like that, much like they did to KSU today.

Eke out a win? Were you watching the game?
It was a horribly ugly game, dozens of penalties, players fouling out on both sides, and I think UNLV scored more from the free throw line than anywhere else.
Both teams didn't shoot very well, and still KU won by nearly 20.
Those kinds of games leave me with a foul taste in my mouth. But KU did what they needed to do.
We'll take 'em one game at a time. We'll see.
And so will you.
Edited to add - it would be a huge mistake to think KU is the same kind of team as KSU.
