Again, Bush isnt running for president, he already has the job.I'd like to see Bush even read that speech let alone sound believable. If nothing else Obama Sounds like a person I'd want to vote for. Way better than that Village Idiot, dubya.
Neither Party deserves to be rewarded with a President in office. Vote Libertarian.
Well the other day he said he never heard these controversial remarks from the Reverend while he was in church. Now today he comes back and says he did. Seems like he lied initially. It's out there, he lied.
He did not lie. He said that he had heard Wright make some controversial remarks, but that he was not present to hear the particular remarks that all this feigned outrage is about.
Which ones there were many?
Preachers say a lot of dumb things. I wouldn't expect people to jump ship like some think O'bama should. He can see through the flaws that all of us have to some degree for the good in people. He's a good irish lad like that.![]()
Like I said, bush was reamed into an apology for giving a speech a Bob Jones U, but we are supposed to overlook the possible ramifications a twenty year close association with a church led by an anti-American black racist. I smell a double standard Pooks.

He lied. You're telling me, after a 20 year relationship he never heard his hate speeches until recently? He never sat in the church, he was never told of those speeches?? Smells real bad to me....The burden of proof is not you, not me, If you are going to state that Obama lied, lay it on the table.

He did in fact lie.
Mr. Davis stands by his story that during one of the services he attended during the month of July, Senator Obama was present and sat through the sermon given by Rev. Wright as described in the story. Mr. Davis said Secret Service were also present in the church during Senator Obama's attendance.
Contrary to Senator Barack Obama’s claim that he never heard his pastor Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. preach hatred of America, Obama was in the pews last July when the minister blamed the “white arrogance” of America’s Caucasian majority for the world’s suffering, especially the oppression of blacks. In his press release, Obama claimed, “The statements that Rev. Wright made that are the cause of this controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity, or heard him utter in private conversation.”
In fact, Obama was present in the South Side Chicago church on July 22 last year when Jim Davis, a freelance correspondent for Newsmax, attended services along with Obama. In his sermon that day, Wright tore into America, referring to the “United States of White America” and lacing his sermon with expletives as Obama listened. Hearing Wright’s attacks on his own country, Obama had the opportunity to walk out, but Davis said the senator sat in his pew and nodded in agreement.
But, he's a Democrat! He's supposed to wring his hands and denounce every controversial statement ever made by any Democrat, liberal, leftist and anti-war activist in America. He is also personally responsible for everything ever said by his friends, neighbors, storekeepers who've sold things to him and anyone who sort of looks like him.
Now, if he was, say, John McCain, he could stand on a stage and hug bigots all day and no one would hold it against him.

Excuse me, I am discussing this issue with Vetteman, an honorable man I disagree with, not with some slimy racist puke.
I've been wondering when all the nonsensical demonizing would start. They just can't help it! It's going to be an interesting election year.![]()
