I'm easy...

... on Valentine's Day.

Flowers die.
Diamonds don't.

there ya go...

That made me laugh ADR :rose:

It shall be my new motto *nods*

It reminds me of......

Diamonds are forever.
They are all I need to please me.
They can stimulate and tease me.
They won't leave in the night. Have no fear that they might desert me.

Diamonds are forever.
Hold one up and then caress it.
Touch it, stroke it and undress it.
I can see every part. Nothing hides in the heart to hurt me.

I don't need love.
For what good will love do me?
Diamonds never lie to me.
For when love's gone, they luster on.

Diamonds are forever.
Sparkling round my little finger.
Unlike men the diamonds linger.
Men are mere mortals who are not worth going to your grave for.

It's good to make people laugh. I'm so glad to do that. ;-D

But don't be mistaken. I'm pretty damned shallow.

I drove by Walgreens on my way to Safeway and the sign said "1 doz Roses $19.99". When I got to Safeway, they were $59.99 and all because they had a stuffed teddy bear attached to the vase, I'm just very sure.

I thought... wait. I'd want him to go the extra $49 and buy me a diamond necklace at Penney's.

Shallow but sensible... yes?

I think that's a good use of funds for Valentine's Day.

Now, to find the HIM to convince, before the 14th...

Oh God... time's a wastin'!!!

Now that is funny.

Nothing wrong with knowing what you want. I don't think it is shallow of you.

My honey doesn't do flowers- I think I've had them four times in the 6.5 years we've been together. He just hates buying something that dies.

So he does other things- dinner, a book I've been wanting, etc.

*nod* I had an Ex who wanted to buy me flowers, but I told him not to bother as they just die anyway... and did I really want something symbolic of love and affection that would just die in a few days?

So he bought me a Swarovski crystal orchid...I still have it.

Sensible definitely, and not shallow, although flowers are still nice every once in a while.

I like flowers but I would prefer to have a flowering plant than a bouquet. I love my jewelry too.

I don't think that makes you shallow, at least you know what you like. It makes good sense too!

If it's blingy... it has my name all over it!!!

;-)

Seriously, that's the kind of thing I would love, too.

Or like LittleJade said, a good book.

Or a flowering plant.

There is a new Swarovski store in Las Vegas, or it will be new. I think it opens in the next month. Oh man there's this really cool outlet mall called TownCenter that has the absolute best cinemas and all kinds of great shopping. And this wonderful kiosk that sells watches... (I have 48 of them. It's a problem I have... *shamed face emoticon*)

I am a very simple woman, I don't want for the large or expensive jewelry. He has very expensive taste and just about everything I have is very "bling". I get comments all of the time on the "blinding" effect.

I'm into bling... though not diamonds, really.

I like gemstones.. garnets more than anything else. My birthstone, and the largest stone in my engagement ring (1 2-carat garnet and four 1/4 carat diamonds)

Ohhhh 48? Hmm... *blink* *blink*

You're too funny. :D So maybe when you find that special someone within the next 24 hours, you could ask for a diamond or crystal encrusted watch?

Best of both worlds no?;) http://www.smartbargains.com/go.sb?...ct&deptid=6&catid=15&prodid=6010476504&aid=74

Oh Lord yes!!! And the price is right!!

Now where is that man????

I have to go to bed soon but not before telling you all about the absolute blingiest thing I've ever seen and Shy was with me and I never looked so fucking good in all my life. It was a full length mirror, you know one of those on a stand that you can tilt? They have a name but it escapes me now. Anyway it was fabulous... Crystals all over it. Every inch of the frame. It sparkled like nothing I'd ever seen before.

And I looked marvelous in it because it was only $10,000 and they would pay for shipping!!!

So I ask you... what could be more sensible?

...........sometimes I love Valentines Day, wondering if I will get a card.........then I got one today (the postman arrived one day too early!!) and I opened it and I see that its an anonymous one, and I was disappointed......who the hell is it from???????? I want to know! *stomps on the floor*

Sorry was I off the topic? :D

By the way, ADR, I agree, flowers - ugh - diamonds - mmmm!
