I have a story in the 'Romance' category, two chapters of which have been submitted so far. So far, there hasn't been any sex. There won't be any sex in the next chapter either unless I completely rewrite it (sorry if that's a spoiler to anyone who's been kind enough to read it, LOL). Rewriting remains an option but one I'm not sure I want to take, given the personalities of my characters. It would change the whole dynamic of their relationship and therefore the entire story if I do.
So here's the question. Given that I've posted this in 'Romance' can I get away with it being a slow burn? (I promise they'll get to it eventually
). I realise I'm posting to an erotica website and sex is kind of expected but I also know that a lot of you don't write sex into every story you write. Do I need to take it out of 'Romance' and put it into 'Novels and Novellas'? But it is romance... The category descriptor for 'Romance' says 'Candlelight, wine, and a soft kiss' after all
