just heard about this not to long ago thought i would be one of the first to post it here.

R.I.P. Heath

shocking. I liked him in 10 Things I hate about you, The Patriot, and A Knights Tale. If he did Od on pills I dont think he meant to. He doesnt fit the type but we dont know what he struggled with or his private life.

My mom called me to tell me. I was pretty shocked, especially since I had only recently begun to really respect him as an actor. (Loved him in Brokeback Mountain and am still very excited to see his portrayal of the Joker in the new Batman movie). It's a shame to see talent lost, especially one so young.

I was shocked when I found out. I read it from damn near all my friends on Live Journal. I had checked LJ before I left...took my daughter to the Dr's office (flu), came back and BAM. Heath Ledger's death totally spamming my friends page. Not that I'm annoyed or anything, it's really sad. He was my age, and a very talented actor. And it seemed, a really nice guy. I'm hoping it wasn't suicide, like people are already speculating.

I was stunned for a long time indeed. Went for the stages of grief in about 15 minutes, now I'm just incredibly sad for his family and their loss. I reiterate he was a great actor, who of course would have had a great career ahead of him. Terrible loss of a beautiful man.

I have just got word that Westboro Baptist Church led by the Phelps family (aka "godhatesfags") are planning to picket the funeral

Picketing funerals is just f**ked up. Its taking advantage of someone's grief in order to get attention. Hate the idea even if I agreed with the protesters (although never heard of anyone that I do agree with doing this)

Its sad to lose someone so talented. Thought he was good when the series ROAR was on, and he was pretty young in that.

Still in shock over this one. I really feel for his young family. His kid isn't going to know him other then the films. For all of her life she's going to wonder who her father really was.

This makes me very sad. I loved Heath's work, and not just because of Brokeback Mountain. He was a good actor and a nice guy. he will be missed.
