And so, because of the automated and irrevocable decision making process which rules out human meddling, Nazi Spelling Buddy is terrifying.

He is simple to understand, completely credible, and convincing!

LOL not you too. I'm sorry. I've never understood what the big deal was. Some please enlighten me. It's a message board. Not a business brief or doctoral dissertation.

I fear that enlightenment is unlikely, as you felt the need do a line-by-line evaluation on a 3 year old thread - that was written for fun. But nevertheless, I shall make the attempt - The name of the site is Literotica, a word derived by combining two words, Erotica and Literature. I see no need to expound on the erotic part, as your username indicates at least rudimentary understanding of that portion. The literature part of the name, however implies a knowledge of writing and/or proper grammar - thus we prefer at least an attempt to adhere to this standard.

Thank you,

A bitch.

Proper grammar and spelling lends more credibility. And prevents the nails on a chalkboard of a poor choice of homonym.

Please bring him back.

Anyone can be spelling buddy. You see a misspelling, you quote the post, bold the misspelled word, and post "Spelling Buddy says: xxxx"

If you do this often enough, people will follow you around to try to catch any mistake you make. Occasionally, people flip out in response.

I could do that. I would rather someone else take responsibility for my comfort though. I want someone else to clean out the catbox.

You meant to say "lend", for the plural antecedents.

The second sentence is a fragment.

Did I just witness a point-by-point arguement against a three year old post made by a person who isn't even here anymore?

I've been to one world fair, a picnic, and a rodeo, and that's the stupidest thing I ever read online. Hornybabe, you sure you got today's codes?

Interesting, LOL You really amaze me. I understand perfectly what this site is about. I've read a number of the Lit submissions over the last two years and quite frankly Lit is NOT as careful as they protest about the spelling, grammar, and punctuation. I spent four years at college getting a minor in English, and I took more than one advance writing class. Some of what I've seen in the submissions presented would be given a failing grade by my profs. I laughed my ass off when my first submission was returned because they quibbled over where I chose to put a period.

As far as a message board this is supposed to be a more relaxed atmosphere. Being anal retentive to me about how other people spell or whether they used the correct punctuation seems ridiculous.

As far as the damn thread. I found the thing amusing, and I want to respond in kind. Get over it.

Ok well it just doesn't make a whole lot of difference to me as long as a post is legible

Huh, I never saw that before. I suppose I should be flattered, if only in a meaningless internet way.

It was me. My only truly great contribution to the internet society. And I have to admit I did a search too out of curiosity, and it only searches back, like you say, to about '03, or 499 posts, and I know it was before '03.

I'm also sure I don't know how to use the search function correctly.

Change the search from ascending or descending to whatever it isn't. Change the from date to a year ago or later...

Good luck with that.

You must have a bunch of people on ignore if that's the stupidest thing you've read online lately!

Damn what is up with you people? It was a joke. Get over it.

Reading carefully. Great information. Wish I had seen it earlier. Would have saved me from those embarrassingly miserable attempts at a parody thread. Still reading.

Everything should be taken in moderation, including both advice and moderation itself.

Backpedal 101: It was a joke.

No, it WAS. Really. It wasn't funny, and appears to be nothing like a joke, but REALLY it was.

No this is not backpedal 101. You didn't like it because it I took pot shots at something you agreed with. Get over.

That is soooo true. But I work without a net 'cause I'm an adrenaline junkie.

I seem to recall that somebody set up an account under the moniker once upon a time, but between how search works and my senility I wouldn't take me too seriously.
