The Metrodance Guidelines for New and Established Posters.

Why people stay: fun, cyber sex, friendship, cyber sex, flirting, cyber sex, intelligent conversations, cyber sex, political discussion, cyber sex, humour, cyber sex!

I thought cyber was a myth. Wow. I'm here for the political *cough* discussion.

I prefered the original version, in which I was mentioned by name.

Otherwise, great work. I'd suggest a sticky, but nothing is ever stickied on the GB.

That thing is pretty spot-on. I can find only a couple of things I would disagree with. Well, maybe more than a few.

Never, do you know who wrote the original?

Lit is the only board that I've ever been to where the number of posts is not equitable to board seniority. You should make sure that you stress that.

This is the GB. Someone's got to get insulted sometime.

That's your opinion

again, your opinion

I disagree. Sometimes being drunk makes people funnier

Another one that's your opinion. Some are damn funny

Yeah I can agree with this opinion however I don't necessarily see the list threads as a bad thing all the time.

Hmm... depends on whether the lambasting is funny.

Damn you really are opinionated aren't you.

Yeah well adds to the fun.

Who for example?

This only works if you don't post. Rabid fans? What? Does Brittany Spears post here?

I'm sorry if you dislike the nanner but I will use it if I want to. :nana:

You know this how?

I sense some bitterness here

You've only scratched the surface

Not really true

ok yeah definite bitterness
The lack of courteous is a joke, a gimic if you will on the GB. Hence the idea that a thick skin is warranted.

Hmm... interesting. Depends on who you talk to as to whether this is true. I think it's an assumption on you're part.

This is Lit home of free speech. Feeding the trolls is encouraged for the entertainment value

No don't return. Correcting spelling is pretentious on a message board.

See above substitute grammar for spelling

Wow - I never realized just how far up your ass that stick was.

Metrodance had a beta version of this thread that had examples of good threads. All said threads were started by you or I.

It wasn't actually a better guide, but it did more for my vanity.

This thread maybe?

I had forgotten about that one.

Ahahaha. I have stick up my ass huh? I never thought you thought that way about me.

BTW, the above was written tongue in cheek. ;)

Huh, I never saw that before. I suppose I should be flattered, if only in a meaningless internet way.

A quick search shows the first use of Spelling Buddy was by LuckyKnight on 10-20-2003, but I know it was used before that.

It was me. My only truly great contribution to the internet society. And I have to admit I did a search too out of curiosity, and it only searches back, like you say, to about '03, or 499 posts, and I know it was before '03.

I'm also sure I don't know how to use the search function correctly.

I can tell, from your user*cough* name...

Actually old dear I attribute my user name to the author Douglas Coupland. Whom mentioned in a television interview that he felt he was a "meat robot". That he didn't feel human. He felt disconnected from his body.

I just feel disconnected from humanity. As well as feeling like all the things I do in life are predetermined. Just doing things humans have been doing for thousands of years.

Wow, talk about an old chestnut of a thread...Someone should really straighten up and dust.

And a useful contribution it was.

Reading carefully. Great information. Wish I had seen it earlier. Would have saved me from those embarrassingly miserable attempts at a parody thread. Still reading.
