I recently read this in a book. It suggests petitioning the universe for what you really need and want. So I thought I'd give it a try. Here is my petition. It is a petition of good will and support for the spiritual world to influence the more mundane. Please add your name to the thread if you are willing to mentally support me in this. Thank you
Dear Universe,
Please intervene and help one of the two editors I recently sent my book to so that they will see the possibilities in it and offer me a deal. I have seen so many signs over the past year that I should be writing and I have strived to work on that.
There was the writer I met last fall that told me which organization to join. That led me to a conference where I found four editors willing to read my work. There was the speaker last spring that showed me there are a number of well respected authors near where I live. There was also the job interview I went to where I prayed for your guidance. I said, "If you want me to have one of these two jobs, so be it, but if you want me to write, just say so." I walked in and found out the call for the job openings had been a mistake and it was for a totally different discipline than mine. So I wrote.
I am continuing to write but I still need money to live on. Please show me that I am on the right path by sending me encouragement from one of these two editors. I understand that I am no more than a grain of sand on the beach but I believe every grain is important and I ask for your help in showing me my path.
Thank you for your grace in my life.
Respectfully,
M.
