Commercials not to watch while you're eating ice cream

*wiping tears away* Hubby feels the same way about commercials for feminine hygiene products of any kind.

Glad to hear the enchiladas happened before the commercial -- chili sauce doesn't clean up as easy as ice cream. ;) :rose:

Anyone besides me ever see the commercial for "Depends for Men"?

I swear, its the funniest damn thing I've ever seen: this manly-man is riding his harley, while the voice over is extolling the virtues of wearing manly-man diapers.

:D

Nothing compares to the mid-nineties campaign slogan for Tampax's rebranding/relaunch:

"Tampax: It's a whole new box!"

I swear to God.

Never saw that one, but I always got a chuckle out of the ad that had a bunch of men (not much older than I, it seemed) hanging out in a garage playing an 'Ode to Viagra.'

Viva, Viagra!

Yep. Elvis is turning over in his fucking grave.

THAT's what it was!

Oh, yeah, if Elvis was alive (or not eating Ho-Ho's on Planet X with Liberace), he'd sure as hell be pissed about that.

Anyone remember the Joe Isuzu ads?

That was one of my favorite ad campaigns of all time. The last time I saw Joe was in 10 Things I Hate About You. Before that he was on Empty Nest. Aside from that, he's been a very underused comedic actor.

His name was David something . . . and I remember him on Empty Nest. I still say his best work was on those Isuzu ads.

Like any group of guys is going to sitting around talking about needing that

Yep. That was him.

Hey, wasn't Empty Nest the one with Michael J. Fox' ex-girlfriend?

I don't think so, Willie. The women actresses in Empty Nest were: Park Overall (the nurse), Kristy McNichol (youngest daughter -- was also in the 1970's show "Family") & Dinah Manoff (oldest daughter -- was also in original "Grease" movie).

Okay, I've just proved I watched way too much TV as a kid.
