Loving Wives catagory changing

Has anyone noticed the stuff in the Loving Wives section is becoming more about cheating spouses & punishment? I just uploaded a wife-sharing story and got some seriously abusive comments on the subject - not the writing but the subject. It was a pretty typical 'couple decide to play with another guy' story. No male bisexuality and I had people calling me a 'wimp' and questioning my manhood. Makes me wonder why I even bothered.

Well, I saw that same effect some time ago. The category is not like its labeling. Plus it is rap full of bitter people with real issues. They fill your comments with bile and venom, incoherent as it may be. It usually is about how the story went, the subject of it, the events; but just as often it's about what a turd you are for having written it, or having 'done that,' meaning they identify the author with the protag.

It's a strange place, LW.

Maybe the story could be resubmitted in "Group Sex"? At the very least you might see an entirely different score and avoid the weird crazies who comment on LW stories.

It's a category where the majority are rarely satisfied with a story - the inherent vagueness of the category leaves you open to abuse. seems everyone has their own unique notion of what the stories should include

I believe it is the subject matter.

At times I think Loving Wives should be split into two separate categories.

One for the men who love to share their wives and happily pass them around to everyone (call them Happy Fuckers) and one for men who are angry at being cuckolded and "punish" their wives with harsh words, divorce or by having affairs themselves (call them Angry Fuckers).

Invariably it seems half the readers aren't pleased with how the stories resolve. With a ridiculous but helpful category split such as this, readers could choose which ending they wish.

There is a certain segment of readers who desire - no DEMAND - that the woman winds up pregnant.

Any other ending receives a 1 vote and angry words.

I quit reading this category, when a guy took a baseball bat to another man's *ahem* manhood, because the other man helped the wife get pregnant - it seemed to me before the violence entered, a kind of "hippie" or free love type of solution to a problem. Anyway the rage was so upsetting that I decided I need not visit again.

Loving wives is packed full of the people who can't stand happy sex I think. I mean look at the stories, they are always wimp husband with a small dick and she goes to get a bigger dick, or he doesn't put out so she finds someone who will. There is no loving in there.

Though this category always seems to be heavily angrily commented on, I think there may also be something else going on right now. Not sure what to call it, perhaps early cabin fever? You know how crime generally goes down in many places when winter or bad weather sets in because most everyone stays in? Well, guess where they come.

Well, my story along that line didn't get slammed but the ratings weren't good either.

Hah! I submitted an LW story for no other reason than to see how it would be recieved by the readers in that genre .

I haven't seen that much venom since I watched rattlesnakes being 'milked'.

I mean totally incoherent ravings-- practically all a-nonny-moose of course. One person did sign tho.

Score was 4.33 after sweeps.

Soooo...the moral of the story is if you're gonna write in that cat you better have the hide of a rhino and the confidence of the biggest kid on the playground.

Just sayin'.

Split the catagory

I have dozens of stories in loving wives. Split it into, loving wives and cheating wives. Better yet, loving couples and cheating couples. At least the reader will know they are getting either a love story or a story where one of or both of the mates cheat.

When either partner cheat, most readers want some kind of revenge or retribution. If it's sharing a spouse with others, it should go into group. Again the reader has an idea where the story is going.

I think that the category has an inherent problem. I have trouble conceiving there being enough erotic tension in a "loving wives" situation to carry an interesting storyline. That seems destroyed by the category's very title. I've only tried one story in that category, and although it has been rated well, I had to stretch for a hook (which I made the transition of an unloving wife into a loving wife), but the effort wasn't completely satisfying. I most certainly can't see a cheating wife as relevant to the category and the thought of a loving wife in the face of a cheating husband sounds like a loosing hook for a story as well.
