Idk do you want to be galadriel, millenia old, the weight of the world on your shoulders and you have watched your people wither and die as you retreat from the world.
Hobbits get a cushy happy life, the best baseline for food, pretty much left alone and are still heroes and survive all the way through to modern day.

I absolutely do. I have a couple birthmarks (that I think are adorable), and a few scars that are very unique. The general public doesn't get to see those. Plus, I'm clumsy AF and always have a bruise or two that need removing.

I think this is "acting out" because of a broken heart. I will flirt like crazy with people who know I'm only flirting on the boards when I'm hurting. And loving your friends and being in love with someone are two different loves.

Well, I do the same. When hurting, I tend to be flirting on the boards and with friends - acting out, funny - that is what I call it as well.
But it is just a sign that I am dealing with some uncomfortable emotions.
And yeah, loving a friend is definitely not the same as being in love.
