In my day it was The Three Investigators. They were such a launching pad. We had the bookmobile come by every two weeks. We were allowed 3 books. That's not even a week's reading. The old lady asked why I took so long choosing books. I told her I couldn't afford a miss cause I would be bored. She let me check out 5. Lol. I still think The Mystery of the Green Ghost was the best.

I used to get those from the BM too. I should try grabbing one from the library and rereading it now, 50 years later
