Throw em out the window....Up. Coffee. TDK has canned food. She split some with Panther and then tried to cover what was left. I always enjoy that part. Somehow, there's a sink of dirty dishes to wash.
I'm really glad that those books showed up. Looking at them sitting there in their little boxes, fixin'ta go Out West when time comes, is somehow reassuring or satisfying or some such word. I do have a stack of stuff to move when time comes, but I also have a stack which will go out to the back alley, too.
Throw em out the window....

Oh i would do some major clearing out..... sell shit and get new stuff tgat fits better..... clothes a few heirlooms from mom and grandma and that is itThere's very little stuff here that I'll take with me. Cats, the dresser, five tables (maybe), a couple of chairs (maybe), and a couple of area rugs (maybe). The rest goes to the alley. In fact, there's some stuff going out the door this morning.

I find i need a lot less shit than i haveThe dresser belonged to my great great grandfather. It's in pretty good shape. Yep, need the clothes. A few machines. That should about cover it, really.

Absolutely agreeI find i need a lot less shit than i have
Less stuff more room for gunsI don't need much.
I want some more of it.
I won't keep that much because I also want to be rid of a lot of it.
Your one way ticket to midnite.......
I see at least one good saw log there! I really like how cherry darkens as it ages. Gets such a nice warm color.I had to take some cherry wood to the local sawmill to get sliced up into 3” boards. It was a good distraction. Big 20-25” diameter logs.
Here we go again….. can’t sleep

I just cut it to what my friend wants it. He makes furniture and gives me the specs and pays for the wood and a bit on top for labor and gas/diesel.I see at least one good saw log there! I really like how cherry darkens as it ages. Gets such a nice warm color.
It's amazing how much you loose on a tree like that, tho. Especially going for 3: thickness. I don't cut much over 5/4". Some 4/4", and a little 3/4". Lots of oak here and some cherry. It takes time to get the most out of wood like that.
Deepest condolences to both you and MrsNo weddings but

I wish I could relive the dove hunts. We posted farmland from a guy who rotated corn and soybeans. Some of each every year. 'We' was a bunch of engineers that worked with my Dad at the mylar mill. Good friends even after my dad died young. My mom now 92 out lived em all. Now days I don't get to see things rural up close like that either. There is a lot to miss. And the "Bob" in that sauce. Related to old southern money, he would come up with some really cool forests to hunt deer in. One I remember missing opportunity at deer for watching the swamp for alligators. You don't hear them. Wild pig were scary for a skinny 14 year old too.Sounds like some great memories!!

That was my Friday night and Saturday. It’s been a tough couple days.
Small world backstory. In a prior life, the company I worked for used a metal polisher and plating company as a vendor. The owner was a character and his shop was in a very rough part of Newark. He hired ex cons, outcasts, people down on their luck and two bikers named Tiny and Sonny. They were in a club called Heavy Metal MC. I think they were affiliated with The Pagans.
The owner was a character. I wouldn’t have thought of that company again really, but a good friend at works wife’s father was the owner. Small world!
So I kept tabs on Gene thru my friend at work. And he passed away last week. So I got to pay my respects to him and the family at a viewing on Friday night. My friends’ wife really loved some of the colorful stories we had abt her dad! And there were many!
Saturday morning, i visited my friend in rehab. He has bad MS and had a super bad flare up 10 days ago. His right leg is basically deadweight. He lost most use of his right arm and hand. But I was glad to see him and make him laugh. Brought a few books for him. Just hoping he can regain some use of his limbs and get back home.
Went from there and met my wife at the local small airport where they had a really nice memorial for my buddy who passed away last week in a small airplane crash. A number of people eulogized him including me. He touched a lot of people and was a great man. He will be missed dearly. Mrs wonderer and his wife are very close friends.

And last nite we had a small fire and drank some beer.
I've always been lucky able to sleep. Sometimes even feeling tired when I don't want too.Now if I can only find a meds that helps with my getting up every 2 hours to pee!. Actually I need to speak to my doctor about trying different Alpha blockers.
I love wood. Cool you own some and get to work with it.I just cut it to what my friend wants it. He makes furniture and gives me the specs and pays for the wood and a bit on top for labor and gas/diesel.
The guy who owns the sawmill is great. He milled me a shit ton of good 4 x 4 cedar when I brought it to him. It is now the fence posts at our farm.
We also worked out a deal where I’m gonna sell his lumber at our farm and take a percentage. He’s a stand up guy.
Next thing you know...I agree.
But for whatever reason, Mrs wonderer and I stopped off at a garage sale today on our way back from the sawmill and we got these gems for $5. I believe the 45s are all Portuguese artists.
crunchy and tart? sign me up!Checked the apple trees last night. This tree is full of these. They've still got a way to go. They're getting closer to being ready, but they're still hard and not sweet enough yet. We have a bit of cooler weather coming, which should help them sweeten up.

Best Out of Context PostI love wood.
Jersey garage sales are the bomb. I found stuff I enjoy storing just like the original owner did. Found some really nice antique furniture and lamps I rebuilt too. They just don't make stuff like they used to. A little sad sometimes. Like one, the guy was old. I saw them occasionally driving down the street but never had a reason to talk. I stopped at the garage sale. The old guy was widowed and couldn't keep up the house like he should. Kids didn't care about the stuff or the house anymore. Nicer home ~100 years old in Haddonfield. Great place in Jersey on the 'right' side of the river across from where RCA invented the TV tube and Campbell's soup called home. Anyway, at 92 the kids didn't care so he had to get rid of stuff or throw it away. I was more enjoying talking to him and kept looking for something I could buy that he might feel I would give a good home. As I was turning to leave a flag caught my eye. It was an American flag. I moved the stuff blocking it and picked it up. The fabric felt light or thin but large. I started to lift the folds and he said I had found a gem, but it only meant something to him. I held it up a little higher and said it was an American flag and meant everything. I forget the name of the ship it flew over, it flew over the Whitehouse and was presented to him after WWII by Eisenhower himself. He was ceremoniously promoted to Admiral after the war ended prior to his promotion. I should have some more respect and remember the gentleman, but I think of him on the years I open that 12 foot by 8 48 star flag.I agree.
